What happened. We all had bad meals.
1. The “ giant prawns” were small with lots of batter to make them look big.
2. Prime rib was so tough couldn’t eat it as well as the New York
3. Was Early and ran out of gravy for one of our orders of chicken fried steak. Put scarce amount on it
4. Mashed potatoes were sour tasting
5. Drinks were watery
Sadly we were all disappointed. The table next to us left a lot on their plate also. Overheard him say his steak was tough.
Out of last 5 times had one good meal.
All of us decided not again.
Too bad was a great place before new ownership. Noticed they were not nearly as full as use to be on a weekend.

Well so sorry to say and I truly hope the new owners read this. 4 of us for a night out. We always loved Edgar's. Send everyone we know and visiting tourists there. Consistently good food and service. The NY Steaks were horrible ( second time there with new owners and first time wasn't great but gave it a second chance ) Nothing but gristle and fat. Thinner cut than the old Edgars. We told the waitress and she said the cook said it was a bad cut of meat. Really. Then don't use it. We were talking to friends and they had the exact issue the other day. They also brought up to us that the mashed potatoes were starchy. We didn't mention that to waitress but we thought the same thing. Edgars mashed were amazing fluffy and tasty.
So none of us wanted, nor would take any kind of compensation for the bad meal. But at least an offer. None made even after the " chef" said he knew it was bad cuts.
Not good business. We tipped the waitress good and told her we hope the owners get this feed back as we will not be recommending it, especially when our friends had the exact same problem.
P.S
Your staff shouldn't be wearing pajama bottoms while working in a dinner house.

absolutely love the EDGAR bar - it's amazing - so friendly - so delicious - their Friday steak special is TRULY special - Damian and " Frank" make it even better !!! great crew working their - what a gem !!!

Was in the area so stopped for lunch. Was as good as expected. Eat dinner here often and always good. Lunch great too. We had the French Dip. Fresh and delicious. Fries fresh also. Will go back

We had our office holiday dinner here. Great local beef and cooked perfectly. I had the baseball steak that melted in my mouth. Everyone enjoyed their meals. It was a busy Friday evening but the service was great.

The food is all homemade, largest shrimp around. Large portions and often enough for a second meal later. Staff is great.

Need to make reservations, very popular place. Service was good especial as busy as it was. The shrimp was very large and the great flavor with the steak.

When you are visiting from Hawaii and long time rancher suggest a place for dinner you follow this lead Edgar Bar did not disappoint. Local beef, a friendly atmosphere and over the top service by Kim, one of the owners. The prawns were ginormous and delicious (either scampi or breaded), the locally raised porterhouse delicious and the fried pickles were the best I ever had. The atmosphere was fun, multigenerational and friendly. We even were able to leg wrestle. A must if even close to Edgar, but make a reservation. Standing room only (did I mention it was 15 outside and had been snowing for days).

Had dinner here with an old friend. The atmosphere is great - very relaxed. The food is VERY good! Not at all what you would expect by looking at the exterior! A very, very fun night with great food! Thanks guys!
