What a great hidden gem on our way back from Bismarck to Fargo! We had a very warm welcome and had such a great time trying all of the different wines! We even got to help the next day make some wine! This is one place you have to put on your list to visit!

Visited 4E through Harvest Host. Had a great stay - Lisa and Greg were very friendly and helpful, and the wines are wonderful. Beautiful little spot not far from Fargo. Highly recommend a visit and the wines!

We’ve toured all the wineries in this corner of ND and for quality, delicious wine - this is the best. Located just outside of Casselton on a charming rural setting, you can taste many grape varieties and pair them with delicious sandwiches, nuts, cheese and hummus plates. Their new “west wing” is a lovely room with a view through the trees of the vineyard. Greg and Lisa and their staff are always welcoming hosts. It is our favorite winery to visit (and we live an hour away!)

Lisa and Greg are a charm and I love running into them at events outside the winery. 4e is my mini vacation spot when I need to get away from "life". It is a place where you relax, sip some wine, and enjoy the small things in life. Thanks, Lisa and Greg.

My wife and I went to a Valentines desert and wine tasting event at 4e. It was scheduled to be a 2 hr event. It essentially finished in just under 1 hr which included 3 very short partial glasses of their select wines and deserts for $25. Person pouring for us didn't explain anything though another server could be heard speaking to her tables? At "1 hr" into the "2 hr" event we were asked would you like a glass of anything else or a bottle?"we accepted one glass between the two of us and when leaving just over 1 hr into the 2 hr event they advertised were expected to pay more for that last glass??? Then why at 1 hr into a 2 hr wine tasting didn't someone tell us they turned on another parking meter when they offered us another glass? That was just weird!

I paid, not going to argue on Valentines Day in public over the cost of a glass of wine, but I assure you, we were already previous returning customers of their products but will be difficult to ever lure back.

Thank you for your comments. We are so sorry that we did not meet your expectations for our wine and dessert event. We tried to offer an experience that was relaxed and would allow couples to enjoy a Valentine's Day wine and sweets pairing at their leisure. We served three full sized house made desserts (lemon blueberry cake, berry tart and a chocolate mouse) paired with three 3-oz pours of wines that best complemented the dessert. We advertised this as three desserts paired with three different wines. We apologize if that was not provided to you at our event. Clearly you did not have the experience you were expecting and for that we have gladly refunded your costs for the entire event. We hope if you come back, we can offer a better experience.

How lovely to sample perfectly crafted wines on a charming shadey long wooden porch, overlooking acres of lush tended bonanza farmland. Have you ever liked all your samples? We had a difficult time narrowing our purchase to just three. Owner is PhD Chemist, college professor, perfecting ideally balanced fruit wines. I'm sure Greg's wife Lisa has a PhD in hospitality. Treat yourself to Dark Currant, Plum, and Rhubarb, and these will be the secret stash to treat your best friends. So drinkable, that cheeses, meats, and crackers are superfluous. Ideal thirst quenching fun wines on a nostalgic mini farm. You HAVE to do this!

This is a great winery, started by a PHD Chemist and his wife, hence the 4e (4 elements: earth, wind, fire & water.) They are very engaging hosts, with some of the best Sangria we have had outside of Spain! Don't pass this one by! Wine tastings and sales (not a full bar.)

Even though 4e had a couple large groups in that evening, they made us feel welcome as well. We enjoyed a full wine tasting with meat/cheese/cracker tray. The wine is delicious! You can’t go wrong with a Chemistry Professor creating wines from their own grapes and locally sourced ingredients. They also had Root Beer for our son (nice touch!)

On the deck, we ended the evening with a glass of wine and had a lovely chat with Greg and Lisa. What a nice couple and a beautiful vineyard!

Go Bison!
