If you are looking for friendly service and excellent craft beer, this is the place for you! They also serve cocktails for the non beer drinkers that are to die for. Weekly trivia is always a hint and the outside space is lovely.

Excellent service and great beer! Very friendly spot! Good variety of locally brewed beers and knowledgeable staff. Dog friendly.

We arrived at the brewery after a seven hour drive from St. John's. The staff was warm and friendly and knew their beer! The vibe is industrial so the tap room was nothing special except for a map of fellow craft brewers across the province. All the beers were awesome!
I recommend highly and the location just off the Trans Canada is ideal.

Love the beer, all flavours were available in bottles for take out during our visit which was a treat.

During a recent 3 day delay in our travel itinerary due to a flight cancellation, we were lucky enough to find this new and our new favourite brewery in DeerLake. Jennie, one of the two owners, showed us the flavourful flights today since ours was sadly cancelled. One IPA was a lovely pineapple IPA, light and delicious, called ‘down south’. The other IPA was called ‘Scallywag’. My husband particularly enjoyed ‘Selkie’ a beautiful wheat beer. The 4th a dark, delicious porter with coffee notes is called ‘Signaler’. We ordered two more pints of our favourites and 2 bottles of Sou’wester a sour beer to take to the mainland for our 2 adult children who also enjoy a craft beer discovery. Rough Waters Brewery Company is easy to get to by snowshoe, skidoo, car, or taxi. The newly renovated brewery is the old Foodland building, located in DeerLake’s industrial mall area is known to locals but the Brewery is still an unknown. It was only about 650 m from the DeerLake Motel. A wonderful discovery for us. This totally new Craft Beer establishment called Rough Waters Brewing Company is going to be a definite addition for both tourists and locals. We are elated about this addition to the island. A wonderful and refreshing discovery for us. Eventually, they will be able offer more food selections like Charcuterie. Proper Ting in Deerlake.
