You just can’t miss Mt Cooroy no matter where you look - the scenery around it is marvellous, the sunsets are to die for - its a cracking local landmark

Can never tire of Mount Cooroy, so awe inspiring, even the local horses love the environment, wonderful from any direction (i.e from Wasabi at night) and any time of day.

There is something special about volcanic land-forms and this area has several volcanic plugs. Mount Cooroy is the standout though; you can see it from almost direction - driving up the Bruce Highway, driving south from Pomona, dining at Wasabi looking up the river - doesn't matter where you are, the shape is such an amazing sight.
Even better at night when the sunset displays all the colours and cloud formations.

One of the best land-forms in the region, the shape is so distinctive and dominates the region from any direction. Had dinner at Wasabi in Noosa Sound and the view of Mount Cooroy from such a distance was amazing. Quite spectacular in the early evening colours.

Loved every bit of this hime. I wish they had open to the public throught out the year. Must visit for all mountain lovers.

Amazing landform and even more appealing when you can see the amazing cloud formations at sunset. Wonderful from any direction including from the Noosa River but special from close up.
Although not normally open to the public (access is only available through public property), it is open for one day a year for the Cooroy Mountain Spring Festival which will be held this year on 19th August.

To some it's a "bump on the landscape", to others it is a landform of great beauty. Having just retrurned from the States where you are overwhelmed by the numbers of people, I am more in awe of our landscape than ever.
This is a wonderful volcanic plug which dominates the horizon from all directions around Noosa and the hinterland.
Wonderful to watch the colours and light at night.
As others say, you cannot enter, only view from outside.

Mount Cooroy is a prominent land feature when in Noosa Heads and the area around Cooroy and that is about it as it is not open to the public to hike or climb. Enjoy the views of the hill particularly looking west up Noosa River at sunset.

There are so many land forms in the region to enjoy, full of volcanic plugs , but this is special. It dominates the landscape from every direction, whether on the freeway of travelling up the Noosa river - so majestic and spiritual. Not allowed to climb it on normal days but still wonderful to look at.

Disappointing, closed to the public. I rang the owners who said it is closed to the public. I wonder how it is possible that a significant mountain so close to a large population centre can be owned by someone.
