Worth $13 entry fee!

This national park is huge! We drove for quite awhile through it and felt like we just touched the tip of it. Beautiful views from the spots we stopped at. Was great to see lots of emus and kangaroos. Was worth the $13 park entry fee!

Absolutely breathtaking.
You can drive the whole track but some dirt roads leading to the beaches are only 4WD, however, there are boards guiding you.
Beautiful beyond belief.

The best feature of the Coffin Bay area. Absolutely beautiful, well laid out a highlight of our trip so far.

Would love to spend more time in the park 4WDing and swimming.

A great wilderness experience in some of the 4WD tracks around this national park. Beaches and sheltered bays, rugged cliffs ,wild waves and sand dunes.pack a picnic and head on out!

Black springs Campground

Black Springs Campground is definitely worth the drive in. Takes about an hour and 10 minutes from Coffin Bay township. You 100% need a 4wd. Challenging track if you are a beginner but for seasoned 4wd drivers you’ll be fine. Pretty easy just bit rough in some spots but fun and lots of sandy spots. We had no issues getting in.
We stayed in the park for 3 days and explored. 7 mile beach and the dunes were great and Point Sit Issac.
Caught fish off the beach at Black Springs and saw dolphins. Lots of wildlife. Long drop toilets were amazingly clean and not smelly. Just keep the lid shut once your done.
Lots of wildlife and bees around.
Once you arrive you’ll be glad you picked this slice of paradise. We loved it.
Also if you want a fire don’t forget to Take your own wood in as it’s a National park you can’t collect it.

Best to pay fees BEFORE arrival. NO onsite payment online only

We’ve visited many NPs on our trip over the last six months but this was the first one where the park entrance had no person, no machine to take card or cash payments, no honesty box and so absolutely no way to pay the park entry fee if you can’t do so online as we couldn’t. After consideration we decided to continue to the campground in the hope there’d be a way of paying there – but no. Apparently this is because of vandalism and theft of funds. So, do your best to organise it online before you get there!
Once paid up, it is worth the visit.

Well worth exploring

Enjoyed exploring sections of the park accessible to 2wd cars. Lots of emus and the odd kangaroo. Some nice camping spots and particularly enjoyed the walk along beach where we came across a sea Lion. Some lovely coastal views. Good facilities at campgrounds

Very large national park, many emus and kangaroos. Pretty coves on the water for national parks camping and trail walking.

Incredible Scenery

Coffin Bay National Park is large and extensive and some of the scenery is average but go to the coast and the views are exceptional and some of the best you will see anywhere. In particular the lookout at Point Avoid and Golden Island , all accessible by a sealed road are top class.
