Spent a lovely few hours here wandering through the forest on the well marked trails. sat and watched the red squirrels and so many different birds form the hide. Lovely cafe with views for a hot chocolate (could have been a bit hotter) Good way to spend time, also got to see participants on Go-Ape

This is a great forest park for walks .
We have done some in there and really enjoyed the nature and peaceful feel of the place . Lots of birds to see and in one place we saw lots of red squirrels.
Lovely waterways and a terrific waterfall are to be enjoyed as well as some wonderful trees and all sorts of bushes, in places the ground is covered in moss like a carpet.
A must place to see if in the area

Highlight for us today was the cafe. Beautiful new cafe with delicious home baking offerings including to my delight a stunning vegan lemon and blueberry cake. 3 choices of plant milk (soya, oat and coconut) and a delicious lavazza latte with syrups to choose from and it looks like a great selection of iced flavoured teas and many other hot tea variations. The visitor centre is superb with tons of activities, videos, live cameras and all the staff are more than helpful with a very friendly attitude. My family joined the go ape treetop adventure and myself and 2 others stayed to relax. There are great walks with easy to follow markers. Great place, well done Forestry and land commission. 🙌👏

Not only is there plenty of natural beauty but the Victorian aquaducts, bridges, etc, taking water from Loch Katrine to Glasgow are fascinating. Plenty of excellent trails and cycle routes.

The kids loved the short Waterfall Walk. Make sure at the waterfall that you take the signposted extension to the wildlife hide, where we saw 3 red squirrels and lots of birds, its only a couple of minutes further each way.
For such a short and easy trail there is quite some variety, including play equipment that kept the kids entertained every so often, a trail about finding bird eggs, a waterfall, a boardwalk over a bog, the wildlife hide, hammocks in the pines etc.
Would recommend to families with young kids, we had no complaints from ours whatsoever!

We did this over two days - first off we did the walk around Loch Ard. Very beautiful and immersive, but quite a tricky path if you are not so mobile. We took the red trail which took around 3 hours (we stopped for lunch). According to the information sign at the start this was supposed to be a sculpture trail but we only spotted the one sculpture! The beautiful scenery more than made up for that though. :)
The second day we did the little section near Aberfoyle, pausing to have a picnic by the stunning waterfall. A nice walk with lots of little surprises along the way!

What a great way to spend a couple of hours. Easy parking, wonderful well sign posted walks through the forest past the waterfall to a hide to see (the highlight of the day) red squirrels, as well as many different species of birds, the walk back was a bit of a climb but the that's what you get with an easy walk down. Would have had a go on the zip wire but being 61 years old, thought a sit down and a cup of coffee more apt.

Visited this park several times during our stay in Scotland. Loved the walks especially those to the waterfalls and the amazing scenery. Also enjoyed the three loch drive. But the highlight was sitting in the hide watching the red squirrels. Will be sure to return as there are plenty of other walks we didn’t get to do.

¿Se puede ir en bus o en tren desde Glasgow? ¿O hay que ir en coche?

Is there anywhere to buy food and drink in the park

Gemma H mentioned cycling on the Sculpture Trail, and hiking on the waterfall trail. Are these two separate trails? About how long does each take? Thank you!
