They lie to your face!!! Saw a handgun deal that was pretty good. And then was told the deal also include additional accessories thru an online offer. I specifically asked the gun counter employee ( who also was a manager) 2x that the online offer was applicable to this handgun package. He said yes it was so that made the deal great and decided to purchas the handgun.
Tried to fill out the online form and it was rejected. Error message said handgun was not eligible. Called the manufacturer and confirmed it was not eligible. Went back to gun counter and spoke to another manager about the misinformation I was given. I knew I could not return the gun so asked for some other compensation like ammo or optics to make up for the $320 lie I was told. I was denied any merchandise compensation, but was offered a $20 gift card. I reluctantly agreed. I went to use the gift card for some ammo, but was told that the gift card was only good for a gun purchase at this store. Now I am really pissed off. Never again will I shop Smokey Mt Guns. They lie and do nothing to compensate for their deceit.

This is the most amazing knife place I have ever been too. You can easily spend all day here. If you need a knife, they have it.

I'm not a blade xpert. BUT, for me the prices in this place were too hi. The merchandising is terrible. You can get lost easy in this 2 floor place. It puts me in mind of the old low end discounters popular in the 60's and 70's. Tons of inventory. The employees - not educated to customer service. Unless you love knives - find a better use of your time

We don't come down this was very often, but when we do, we make sure to stop by Knife Works.
There is so much to see here on multiple floors, it's easy to spend multiple hours here.
Huge selection of not just knives, but lots of other stuff, plus a kids area on the bottom layer.

We bought a spear and a cold steel tactical axe and wanted them engraved for our oldest son's birthday. The engraver was not there that day, so we tried again the next day, not there. We tried a 3rd time, not there, now our son's birthday is tomorrow and guess what, the engraver is NOT THERE. Four times in 2weeks we have tried to get an engraving. The store is amazing, the products are virtually endless and I LOVE the store itself, but, don't offer a service if it can't be provided in a timely manner....

This place is ginormous and contains EVERYTHING! It is almost like a mall/flea market with all the stuff. Not just knives. Go!

Went to this store and found a knife set that was clearly labeled $390. The store clerk assisting my family even quoted the amount on the box. When we got to the register the item rang up for $895! The cashier, Candie, was as hateful as she could be throughout the entire process and told us to leave if we didn't like the price it rang up as. Needless to say, their customer service skills are lacking. We asked to speak to a manager and he would not honor the price labeled on the box stating it wasn't his fault that it was priced incorrectly or that their store associates quotes that price as well.
The person behind us was also cut by one of their employees when they opened the knife for him and was only offered 30% off for his troubles.
I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Purchased a SMKW exclusive knife online and some hardware fell out over time. I emailed them to ask about replacement hardware with no answer. Called them as well only for them to tell me to go to the manufacturer. The problem is it is a custom knife from Smokey Mountain and the manufacturer doesn't have that hardware. I will not buy anything else from here, probably go to Blade HQ or Knife Center from now on. Thoroughly disappointed.

I've been shopping at SMKW (catalog and then website) for about 40 years and have never had a problem. Finally made it to the store in August of this year and the experience was fantastic. They carry just about every knife brand imaginable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. After waiting 40 years to visit the store, it was everything I had imagined. Yes, the store is setup to accommodate tourists as well as hard core knife aficionados, but it's well balanced between the two.
You'll need a few hours to browse the entire store and it's a must see.

Love this store. They had a wide variety of items on different floors. They obviously have knives, but they have home goods, minerals, toys, guns, ammo, accessories, even a big foot section. It’s all stroller accessible and we love shopping here.

Smoky Mountain Knife Works is always busy. We have visited during peak summer season and in the winter as well. I have never encountered a certain time of day or time in the year that this place was not packed with people.

If it isn't made anymore I'd recommend checking our antique and collectibles section of the site (Tripadvisor won't let me post the link), however, if its an older knife it wouldn't be on our site unless we've been able to buy one recently.

Usually between 3-10 dollars depending on the size and they use ceramic cross sharpening and whet stone.

Had a coupon for $5 off of $50 or more. The lady that checked me out told me that coupon was for online it orders. The coupon was for show room only and couldn't be used on guns. The only thing I got was a Case knife. How come I could not use my coupon?
