Our anniversary dinner couldn’t have been more complete without our friends Tim & Deb and the server Everett.
Everett embodied the spirit of the island. He effortlessly gave us great service and made us so at home. And to top it off, my husband left his cellphone and glasses on the table, Everett ran to the parking lot to track us down. We loved the world-class Mai Tais Everett recommended
Mahalo Nui Loa Everett.

Fun spot for drinks and bar food. The coconut shrimp was pretty good and not too breaded. Enjoyed the bartenders, good spot for afternoon cocktail and happy hour.

Absolutely amazing. Best mai tai ever and Peles Passion is a new obsession of mine. This was hands down one of the highlights of our trip. Will be back for sure!

We stopped at Tahiti Nui for lunch after hiking the beginning of the Kalalau Trail, so it tasted especially good! We were really lucky to hit a point where we walked in and were seated (right around 11:30a.m.); there was a line by the time we left.
The Mai Tai, lemonade and Mediterranean bowl were good, but my husband's macademia nut crusted chicken (with mashed potatoes) was PHENOMENAL (especially craving salt after the hike). I may have eaten quite a bit of his... I would highly recommend that dish.
We had a great time talking with our waitress, Kelly, about our hikes as well.

The food was average, the service was pretty good. Noisy restaurant. Your money would be better spent in Wailua at The Bistro. I had the coconut macadamia nut mahi. It was rather spicy. Not what I expected.

Best Mai Tai on the island for sure.
In my opinion best pizza too!
Been coming here for years. Laid back causal and a taste of old Hawaii. Popular with locals and tourists. Always very busy so plan accordingly and come early. They don't take reservations so it's first come first served. Friendly staff with lots Aloha spirit. A visit to the North Shore of Kauai is not complete without a visit to the Nui! Famous for many reasons through the years. Highly recommend!!!

They don’t really advertise their happy hour but it’s $10 Mai Tai and $1 off daft beers. When Mai Tais are averaging $15-20 everywhere else it’s really a deal. And they’re amazing and the bar is fun with great ambience.

Excellent dinner recommendation. Loved the purple sweet potatoes. Had the fresh fish entree, and the ahi wasabi appetizer is incredible. CalMari was excellent. Grab a mai tai, & enjoy a yummy dinner.

Such a cool place and best Mai Tai’s ever! We were also told The Descendants Movie with George Clooney used this Tahiti Nui bar in the movie. Great food and service. We went there several times as we love the small town of Hanalei!

Went for the luau. Knew it was going to be smaller than the giant luaus others put on and I would have been fine with that had it felt authentic. More like a high school production held in someone’s living room. It was also rushed and done on the cheap. First off, know that this luau is indoors. With a low ceiling. The single fire dancer couldn’t do more that spin the fire stick because of the ceiling. Small stage with two men and two women dancers plus two musicians. They all did a fine job but it doesn’t compare with the larger productions.
Regarding food and drink, a complementary mai tai is given for those who drink but nothing is offered for those that don’t. I asked the rude server if they had any blended drinks and she seemed offended that I even asked and then told me pina colada’s are for Mexico as she walked away. The food is served buffet style but do not think that means all you can eat. One trip through the line and the servers were skimpy with serving sizes. I’d read that they explained the tradition of roasting the pig and gave everyone a chance to see the pig as they removed it from the ground but nothing like that happened for us. Food was simply brought out and served. Dessert was the kicker for the evening. Small sampler plate with three desserts and some fruit. It all tasted good but we all had to share. They only served one plate of dessert for every two people. That’s right! They cheaped out at every turn. I don’t recommend this luau at all. Give me the spectacle of the larger luaus.

My wife and I spent a week on Kauai several years ago and we found a restaurant/bar that served a sunset mai tai and overlooked the sunset where the ocean waves caused an upsurge through the rocks across the way. Is this that restaurant?

I've heard about a Tahiti Nui Luau years ago...we'll be there in 3 weeks...does this big outrageous family house party still exist? If so I need reservations for 4. We have been to several luaus before but this one is very special I'm told....we are after the missing element please.

Our family was there in November and loved Tahiti Nui. The family atmosphere is what will bring us back the next time we are in Kauai.

Do you still have your Laua on Wednesday nights? How large a group do you serve? Is it buffet or menu?
