I have been here numerous times over the years and can honestly say I’ve never been disappointed with the sit down meal and all the young staff that work hard and also very polite and happy well done hove dog track we will be back

Even though I have been here before on this occasion it was so different
Firstly I would like to say how disgusted and disappointed that my family and I are with the Greyhound Stadium. My mother booked in advance a sit down meal for seven people at a cost of £35 per head she paid in advance for my dad‘s 70th birthday. When we arrived there was a set Christmas menu which apparently had changed on that day no one had phoned or spoke to my mum about the change of menu. That was not the menu that was on the website that we all had a look at prior to the day. A couple of vegetarians in the party of us and this menu Did not cater for vegetarians and it wasn’t what we were expecting. We raised an issue with the manager and we just got given a white A4 bit of paper with the grill menu on So we just had fish ,chips , burgers from the grill menu. fish was still frozen the vegetables were rockhard the burgers were dry we did not have a starter or a desert and was not worthy of the £35 per head. The sit down meal we thought the bar staff come over and took our drinks we unfortunately had to keep asking them for more drinks the service was slow the betting people that were meant to be coming round weren’t coming round so we had to then get up and place our bets somewhere else. When ordering a glass of Prosecco it come out half full and the manager said oh it’s 125 ml, no a glass of Prosecco is a glass not a measure at £6.50 really? The manager has not even given my mother a full refund just partly refund. Overall I would advise not booking a meal either go to the dogs and eat burgers and chips downstairs or go to a fancy restaurant because like I said this is completely unacceptable for them to take the money and not give us that service. Especially an occasion like this.

The complex was wonderful, the experience was sublime but the food was disgusting but to put a finer word on it.
We had the party pack, the burger was burnt the chicken was dry and the chips were soggy.
I have to say the Ladies behind the bets counter were the most miserable people I have ever come across. No please and no thank you. I think they are passed their sale by date.

Good team night out..we got the dinner and racing package which was reasonably priced. Arrived and was quickly sat down at our tables. The dinner choices was lovely, the waiters friendly and the atmosphere was great. Would go back again.

Given the best seats to view the races & have a meal, we did book for 18 people & every one of them enjoyed the few hours we were there.
We were given a different menu from the initial one online but all were acceptable. The people who had the fish & chips were in agreement that although advertised as Cod it was the wrong colour & flavour for cod though & it did look dry. I had the beef dinner & plenty of flavoursome beef!
Our server was brilliant.
We were one of the first groups through the door but you would think by the state of the sticky handrails down the staircases we were the last of hundreds, really grotty. The toilets were very clean, no fault there.

Had a meal on a Saturday night not cheap at 35 per head but without doubt the worst I have ever had.
Tomato soup very bland and yep it
Cod loin dry boiled potatoes shrivelled and burnt
Caramelised and goat cheese tart burnt and no filing
Steak ordered medium rare came well done
All of this a shame as dog racing and service from waiter and netting man was very good
Drinks waiter absent and difficult to track down

Saturday evening, extremely busy, waiting for food was over 40 minute wait as only 2 staff on! Ridiculous! You know how busy it’s going to be so why only 2 staff?? Bar queue was slightly better only a 15 minute wait! Food was average, if I go again I will eat before I go!

Went to the brighton and hove greyhound stadium with my family for a three course meal and an evening of greyhound racing,great service,great food,quite busy a really enjoyable evening.

Was here with my older parents, wife and kids. We went for the restaurant as my old man can’t walk or stand for long. The position of the table was good, right on the finishing line.
It was a good fun night BUT food was just about ok and took ages to come out. My dads steak was inedible!! Service wasn’t great at all and felt the waitress lacked training. You do get drink service on the table but went to bar a few times myself as hate waiting ages for a beer.
The bookie comes to the table which is handy.
Would go again but maybe not to the restaurant.
