We have been visiting the Coral Greyhound Stadium at least once or twice a year every year for over 30 years now & I have to say it has always been a great experience, despite being rubbish when it comes to betting, but the food has always been reasonably good.
Where this venue lets itself down, is with a lack of information on its website, which can be very frustrating when it comes to booking transport to & from the stadium. We live a good 25 miles away from the stadium, so when we come down with a group of friends, we usually book a minibus, but when it comes to booking pick up & drop off times, it always proves challenging to find out what time the doors open & what time we are required to leave the stadium.
We are attending Finals night this coming Saturday & we are lead to believe that there is a singer or band after the racing, but cannot find out any information on this about who the artist is or what time they will finish.
It is bad enough that the website has a lack of information, but if you ever try to call the stadium, no one ever answers your calls.
Like I say, once we get there, it is always a good experience, but please, please improve your communications & information.

We decided to take the kids here for Easter Sunday fun day. 5 adults & 4 kids.
On arrival the kids had goodie bags and they had sweets.
We went to sit down but in the wrong section they were reserved for diners.
A lady explained about the roast’s they were serving so we decided to eat.
They set up a large table for us and explained that it would be table service and we could bet from there with a great view off the track.
Starters arrived which was lovely and drinks.
A little wait in between for our roasts which was not a problem.
They arrived and were lovely plenty of meat and veg with loads of potato’s with sides we ordered. It was delicious we were all very impressed.
Staff were lovely and service was great.
Thank you all for your hard work.

Visited yesterday for the newly opened Sunday lunch at the dogs.
The service and atmosphere in the restaurant were good, with window seats.
However the food was inedible and the drinks were extricate. £7.20 for a pint of Guinness and £30 for a very average/cheap wine.
Having told it was £16 per adult main and £10 for children, we paid in advance. There was nothing on the main options for £16 so everyone had to pay extra. Beef so dry, like cardboard. Pork belly all fat and far from crispy. Dry chicken.
Undercooked roast potatoes and vegetables.
Puddings were ok but an additional charge.
Service was good, but wouldn’t recommend if you are looking for good food. You are better sticking with chips from the food bar.

Three meetings have either been called off during racing or cancelled just before racing over the last few weeks. This is the only track in the country that seems to be effective by the weather, course management must be a problem.
Information on there website is barely non existent on this, they show no consideration for people who have to travel like myself.
I've sent them two emails over the last 7 days without reply. Unless you are booking the restaurant and spending your money they don't seem to value you at all.
As I'm having a moan I might as well mention bar prices are a rip off as well.

Out for a special birthday evening with friends. Pre paid for the evening in the restaurant with a three course meal, race card and table service for bets.
From the minute we arrived we were treated really well. Vinnie our waiter was really good and was patient with us all evening. The food was good and value for money. The lady that took our bets was called Paige and she was very interactive and helped us place our bets giving good advice.
Well done 👍 we had a fab night

The experience was fantastic.
We had not been to the stadium previously and the atmosphere and surroundings were fantastic! The three course meal was well presented, first course and desert course was very good. However, the main course wasn’t amazing and slightly undercooked. But services in all other areas was very good.

I have been here numerous times over the years and can honestly say I’ve never been disappointed with the sit down meal and all the young staff that work hard and also very polite and happy well done hove dog track we will be back

Even though I have been here before on this occasion it was so different
Firstly I would like to say how disgusted and disappointed that my family and I are with the Greyhound Stadium. My mother booked in advance a sit down meal for seven people at a cost of £35 per head she paid in advance for my dad‘s 70th birthday. When we arrived there was a set Christmas menu which apparently had changed on that day no one had phoned or spoke to my mum about the change of menu. That was not the menu that was on the website that we all had a look at prior to the day. A couple of vegetarians in the party of us and this menu Did not cater for vegetarians and it wasn’t what we were expecting. We raised an issue with the manager and we just got given a white A4 bit of paper with the grill menu on So we just had fish ,chips , burgers from the grill menu. fish was still frozen the vegetables were rockhard the burgers were dry we did not have a starter or a desert and was not worthy of the £35 per head. The sit down meal we thought the bar staff come over and took our drinks we unfortunately had to keep asking them for more drinks the service was slow the betting people that were meant to be coming round weren’t coming round so we had to then get up and place our bets somewhere else. When ordering a glass of Prosecco it come out half full and the manager said oh it’s 125 ml, no a glass of Prosecco is a glass not a measure at £6.50 really? The manager has not even given my mother a full refund just partly refund. Overall I would advise not booking a meal either go to the dogs and eat burgers and chips downstairs or go to a fancy restaurant because like I said this is completely unacceptable for them to take the money and not give us that service. Especially an occasion like this.

The complex was wonderful, the experience was sublime but the food was disgusting but to put a finer word on it.
We had the party pack, the burger was burnt the chicken was dry and the chips were soggy.
I have to say the Ladies behind the bets counter were the most miserable people I have ever come across. No please and no thank you. I think they are passed their sale by date.

Good team night out..we got the dinner and racing package which was reasonably priced. Arrived and was quickly sat down at our tables. The dinner choices was lovely, the waiters friendly and the atmosphere was great. Would go back again.

The Car park is right outside this venue. So easy to park and free. Not many places like this have free parking anymore. Top night out, so much fun
