We have just spent a week in Panes and completed the “Talk & Walk” holiday with Peak Me Languages. It was a great week. Ana and her team worked really hard to make sure we had a fun and enjoyable time while improving our Spanish. The classes in the mornings were varied and interesting & the time flew. The hikes in the afternoon were lovely, such fantastic scenery. Overall we loved everything about the area and the people. This is a great way to learn something new while enjoying yourself. We would highly recommend this holiday. Thanks to everyone who contributed to making it so enjoyable.

Booked for a week and stayed for another. Did the talk and walk. Morning Spanish lessons then after noon walks. Really enjoyed our time in Panes

Peak Me language school offers an ideal opportunity for serious, individualized Spanish study in the beautiful and culturally unique setting of the Picos de Europa. Our warm, bright instructors were able to adapt the very enjoyable classroom sessions to our particular learning style and needs. We really felt at home in the school and in the small community of Panes. Although we did not sign up for the guided outdoor activities, we were offered excellent locally-informed guidance for our hiking, dining and local travel to explore the rich culture and history of Asturias and Cantabria. What more could we wish?

I have been struggling with Spanish for 10 years or more, and while I have to admit that my Spanish did not improve immeasurably I enjoyed the lessons and found the teaching from Celine and Ana to be innovative and helpful. Initially in the beginners class there was just 2 of us and midweek we had a third member resulted in plenty of individual attention and the feeling that I wasn't holding the others back.
While the Spanish lesson's were a challenge to my septuagenarian brain the walking was a challenge to my septuagenarian knees, but as with the lessons Julian led the walks at a pace and course that suited us as a group. I certainly saw areas and achieved walks I wouldn't have done otherwise
The accommodation was interesting and vaguely reminiscent of a sixties Blackpool guest house.
My conclusion is I had booked this holiday as a bit of a challenge to myself and Peak Me met met this goal and in fact enjoyed the whole experience.

I had looked for an upper intermediate/ advanced course, and booked a week when Was advised this would be possible. However when I arrived I discovered that there were to be two groups, one complete beginners and a very mixed ability group of other levels. The lessons as others have said were well planned, just not what I had requested. I had studied Spanish for 5 years, written to Ana in Spanish and completed a test and at no point had a been told the level I requested would not be possible or that my test did not warrant study at this level. At Panes I was taught numbers and one of the past tenses, (simple year 1-2 skills) which suited some of the mixed ability group. I know that my booking was made long before the others on the course and I would have appreciated advance warning that the course I thought I had booked was not going to be possible to allow me to decide whether to cancel my booking. I enjoyed the walks, although these were conducted in English due to the number of Spanish beginners that week. The local hotel was charming. It was a holiday and pleasant enough but my level of Spanish did not improve at all. I found this course demotivating and would not return.

Had a great week with Peak Me. Found the organisation seamless, all the arrangements worked out very well,
The classes were excellent and enjoyed the different teachers during the course. 4 hours of classes each day went very quickly and lots of variety in the methods used.
The walks were great and geared to the level in the group.
Stayed at the Hotel Villa Elena which was simple but comfortable and I felt very well looked after.

I would highly recommend Peak Me Languages - the organisation & delivery were seamless from first enquiry right through. We'd never tried a language school before, but this must be one of THE BEST. The combination of lessons and walking was a great balance. The structure of the classes worked well. All the teachers were excellent and we had great fun - muchas gracias Ana, Estrella and Celina. The area is beautiful - stunning mountains in the Picos - and the food in Panes was great. Thanks to Jesus for the great walks. Walks and classes were well tailored to differing abilities - nobody should worry. We visited in early October and found the temperatures perfect for us - up to 25 degrees each day. We plan to return - definitely!

I spent a week in Panes at the Peak Me language school, and had a wonderful time. In the mornings I was in the introductory class with 5 other students. My accommodation, transportation, and activities were all pre-arranged, making the planning process a piece of cake. The teachers kept the classes active and fun, and there was ample opportunity to practice around town. I was the only student that had signed up for the extreme adventure package, so in the afternoons I had a guide all to myself while we went kayaking, caving, canyoning, and ria ferrata, which was a great opportunity to attempt using my new Spanish skills! Not to mention a fun and active way to spend the afternoons in the beautiful region surrounding Panes! I would recommend Peak Me to anyone who is looking to improve their Spanish and stay active. And a big thank you to Ana, Celia, and Guillermo for making my week so enjoyable!

The PeakMe Language School provided me with a great introduction to Spanish. I was there for two weeks and my Spanish improved to the point I can read it very well can at least get by with basic conversations. The combination of three instructors who rotated into classes throughout each day provided some variety in teaching styles as well as opportunities to listen to different speakers. The materials provided in support of the classes were excellent. Everyone at PeakMe was so supportive and the local folks in Panes were wonderful and very patience with those of us visiting.
The afternoon activities were a bit disappointing, but we do not particularly like group hiking. I thought there would be more opportunity to interact with the hiking guides, but they tended to end up interacting with more advanced students. The hikes themselves vary in difficulty but all included beautiful scenery (beach/coast and Picos).

I just finished a week of Walk & Talk at Peak Me language school. The teachers were excellent. They were knowledgeable and really patient. The school is well organized and very friendly.
I signed up for the hiking adventures. There were four and each was very different. We hiked up above the town, we hiked down through a magical forest, we hiked along the ocean, and we hiked in the Picos de Europa. Our guide, Vivi, was very sweet. She checked each day to make sure we were all doing well.
I highly recommend Peak Me if you're interested in learning or improving your Spanish in a gorgeous setting.
