Elora Bissell Park walk

We went exploring at Bissell Park, and enjoyed it! We walked the boardwalk, which was in good shape. It lead us through some woods, and then to the dam at Grand River. So beautiful and peaceful!

Boa caminhada no parque.

O parque apesar de não ser muito grande, é um bom local para fazer uma caminhada ao longo do rio. Também é bom para ler um livro apreciando tranquilamente a paisagem. Gostei muito!

Do not go out of your way or expect to be overwhelmed. It is a nice little park with a walk enough to stretch a bit. If you like clambering through the bush you can get to the dam by the river.

Saw the swans!

A small, cute park with not too much to do but pretty to walk around in. The swans on the water were the attraction when we were there and a lady was feeding them at the water's edge. Quiet and peaceful.

Great RiverSide Park

Bissell Park is a beautiful stretch of park along the Grand River in Elora. There is a little waterfall, a boardwalk, and a lot of room for having a nice picnic. You can also find a couple of Swans floating by on occasion.
This is a perfect place to stroll as you enjoy your ice cream or Gelato from Sweet Distractions, and take in the beauty of Elora.

Every Year in the summer - August to be precise, they have a music and arts festival in this park, and it is packed. Get your tickets early if you want to attend Riverfest Elora - it sells out fast.
Pack a picnic lunch and spend the day with your family, friends, or dogs in Bissell park.

The waterfall is worth it

Bissell Park is quite small and is a great picnic spot. However, there is a short trail that leads to the side of a small waterfall. It is a great photo opportunity but visiting here would be quick as there is not much to do.

Nice little park with view of waterfall

Small nice park with a short walk to the waterfall. Probably would be a nice place for picnic. There were people fishing that day also, not sure if they caught anything.

Shakespeare in the Park

Still fabulous. Fourth year for the Elora Community Theatre's Shakespeare in the Park. This year's production is Macbeth and it is marvelous. Professional quality performances in our own backyard. Runs until August 11-13. Cost is just a pass of the hat at the end of the show. Take your lawn chair.

This quiet beautiful park has a lovely river running through it . There are always people standing on the shore or in the water fishing . Canoe always s on the river . There are the swans that are there every summer On Saturdays in the summer there is a farmers market . it is a good place to take your dog for a run and play ball. In the winter there is a skating rink . Hiking trail's . If you want piece and quiet this is the place

Great multipurpose park

Part of the charm of Elora is that it has great shopping and cafes, the walking trails along and into the river valleys, and lots of green space area like this little park. It can accomodate picnickers, fisherman, boardwalkers, dogwalkers and the occasional music or theatrical event
