Mount Victoria National Park also designated as Asean Heritage Park. The region is mountainous and can reach through treacherous dusty winding road. Mount Victoria is 10,200 ft above sea level. From the base station, you can then trek up for 3 hours up to the top. The view along the way is fantastic where you can view surrounding forested mountains and the top is spectacular where you can see the entire National Park.

Nos amis birmans veulent développer le tourisme dans ce secteur, mais ils nous jamais vu ce qu'étaient les Alpes européennes...

Many people talk about go to the top to see the stunning sea cloud in kanpetlet, to be Frank you can't see anything if u go to the top, the top will surround "cloud", so mean actually if you arrive the top that you are actually inside the sea cloud, it is cold and you cannot see anything, the best view actually is in the middle of the mountain where you can see the sea cloud clearly, on the way to top you will see the sea cloud on your left side.

I have been there the first time in 2013 it was a beautiful and peaceful experience. I was almost alone (with guide) during the 5 hours trek from the entrance of the park to the summit at circa 3000m with a mere 500 meters the nature was dry but rich with rhododendrons bushed and mostly hummingbirds picking the rhododendrons.
I returned in December 2017 it was very different, from the minute we started the climb for the next 50ish minutes we crossed about 50 motorbikes going up or down to/from the summit. A very noisy unpleasant experience, birdwatching was not possible. a natural reserve should truly be looked after in a better fashion, pollution will, in time, kill the rhododendrons and the birds will flee if they haven't already. Motobike allowances should be screened. Local authority will have to improve this latter problem if they wish to have foreign trekkers still visiting.

Highly recommended, but a health warning, if you plan to walk, run, or climb , just be careful of your health. The air is fresh, and the scenery is breathtaking.

I spent totally 4 hours and a half for trekking from basecamp to the top of Mt. Victoria, resting and having some snack, enjoying the landscape and then down back. A lot of Rhododendron along the trekking route. There are jungle trail and hiking route for you to avoid motorbike path. This is an amazing experience for me during the trip to Myanmar.

Many Beautiful Flower has at Mt.Victoria@Nat Ma Taung National Park.Pleasant weather with breathe taking views with breeze.Excellent place to hike as well as touch the nature. The whole mountain is filled with rhododendron trees and there are a lot of rare birds. The best time to visit there is December and January because of red color rhododendrons blossom and rare birds can be watched .This trip I visited at February 2018.

This was the legendary mountain before what I learnt in Geography. Now is time to set my feet on it.So happy for it.This is a must-do in Chin State.
Coz it locates at (100,20) ft above sea level,it's not ok to hike up and down for everyone.I am also like to take hiking experience but it's better do with motorbikes only.Otherwise, you will be exhausted coz of hiking for sure even in a few minutes.
It will take only (15)minutes to go to top of the mountain and to go down to the ground by taking motorbikes.
But it will take about 2 & half hours to go up and down by hiking.
It is not a good place for very young children and old people coz this is adventurous and tiring trip.Cold weather is also another important factor to count when you wish to come to Chin State.
Thanks for reading.l

Trekking will be taken for nearly 3 hours to get to the summit of the mountain.Uneven, long and tiring experience should be tried with friends to accompany you and don't forget to bring water and rest on the way if you are too exhausted.

Dear travellers,
I am currently based in Yangon and would like to trek in Chin State around 6 days in October, including climbing Mt Victoria. I am on a tight budget and would like to keep it simple and local, meaning local guide (may travel alone but don't mind joining a group) and staying at local houses as in Kalaw treks, if possible. Do you have any information on this? Are they small local trekking companies offering this? Thanks a million!

Dear Travellers,
I don’t know exactly but I heard there is a tourist village that developed by Hotel and Tourism department. But it is not really for trekking. It is especially to look the birds. For accommodation, the official will not allow to make a night stop at local house for foreigners. Even in Kanpetlet town, you can’t make a night stay at guest house. At least, you have to find the hotel in Hotel zone, it is about 4.8 km always from Kanpetlet town. In October, it is a good season and you need to book the hotel in advance. Hopefully a good trip for you!!!
