Excellent museum, great place, tasty restaurant.
En excellent distillery of a very nice OUZO, with a nice museum.
One of the nicer restaurants in the island, which besides the tasty food the area will also take you back to time!

Did a ship excursion and really enjoyed this stop. Record heat of 100 degrees made things rough but the room where we sampled ouzo was air conditioned. They have made it a little museum with various old artifacts, ending in the ouzo tasting. We all felt real happy after the samplings! Bought small bottle samples and olives to boot. Great tour.

Visited as part of a heritage skills placement on Santorini where we learned about the culture and traditions of Greece. This place was such an unexpected pleasure to visit! There’s an extensive collection of fascinating objects including traditional doors, coopering tools, agricultural objects and reconstruction of a dwelling and shop. It’s a true act of love to collect and save so many things that are so significant in preserving cultural heritage. I haven’t even mentioned the distillery itself, which was also so interesting. Can highly recommend the coffee/anise ouzo which was absolutely beautiful. Thank you, I loved it!

This was part of a shore excursion on Santorini and it was well worth it. An old spirits distillery that is well preserved and turned into a museum and event hall.
Entering and seeing many antique pieces, including the original still, you get an education on the process as well as the different types of liquor and how they are made. You then go into a tasting room which is beautifully decorated, Greek music playing and the hostess dances as samples are distributed---- a throwback feeling to an old Anthony Quinn movie.

Wij kwamen hier in de laatste week van het seizoen en toch stond er een mevrouw te wachten om ons een rondleiding te geven. Wij waren de enige dus het werd een privé tour. De uitleg was veelzijdig, onder andere over ouzo, maar ook over wijn maken en de manier van leven vroeger en de oude huizen.
Aan het einde mochten we 4 soorten proeven en die waren heerlijk! De prijzen van de flesjes ouzo zijn zeer betaalbaar (zeker als je de dure winery’s gewend bent). Een aanrader voor iedere vakantieganger op Santorini!

Στο χώρο του αποστακτήριο Canava ο επισκέπτης είναι φυσικό να περιμένει να συναντήσει μια συλλογή αντικειμένων που σχετίζονται με την οινοποιητική παράδοση της Σαντορίνης, όμως δεν θα περίμενε να συναντήσει ένα μουσείο στο οποίο γίνεται αναπαράσταση επαγγελματικών χώρων που σχετίζονται με τη ζωή της Σαντορίνης του προηγούμενου αιώνα, το οποίο θα ταξιδέψει τον επισκέπτη στο χρόνο και δεν έχει τίποτα να ζηλέψει από αντίστοιχα μουσεία του εξωτερικού. Η περιήγηση δημιουργεί στον επισκέπτη ένα αίσθημα νοσταλγίας καθώς και συγκινήσεις.
Υπάρχουν άνθρωποι που αγαπάνε αυτό που κάνουν, αλλά σπάνια θα συναντήσεις ανθρώπους που είναι ερωτευμένη και παθιασμένη με τη δουλειά τους, καθώς και με ένα βαθύτατο αίσθημα προσφοράς, ένας από αυτούς είναι ο Λουκάς Λυγνός.
