We stayed overnight and what a wonderful experience it was! The tour was both educational and fun and Aho did a great job, bearing in mind it was his first time to take people around. Maggie's dedication and love for the animals was obvious and we left feeling inspired. I would absolutely recommend a visit here, they deserve more support and it's a great opportunity to see some of the animals of Namibia that you may not be lucky enough to see in the wild.....as well as some very friendly warthogs!

This was our main reason for visiting Namibia after seeing Maria's work on the David Attenborough show about Pangolins. My husband has always wanted to see one but after 25 years of visiting South Africa we have never been lucky enough to see one. The tour was very informative and we learnt alot about panolins, the cape vulture and other species. The people here are wonderful and told us about their efforts to save and protect these rare animals. They are currently raising funds for a perimeter fence and a new clinic. We stayed the night on the property in their cottage and had a wonderful time braising and sitting around a camp fire also saw a dikdik. Would thoroughly recommend everyone do the tour and stay over if possible.

I wanted to see Pangolin, and this is one of the few places that is likely. Great people here, doing great work with several species. I spent several days here, but you may only want to spend a few hours.

This is was a high light of our holiday. The love and enthusiasm oozed out of the staff. It was an amazing opportunity to get up close these endangered animals. Maria has dedicated her life to research the pangolins life and now has Maggie the enthusiastic young American to help. Thank you for such a wonderful tour.

Found out about Rest following a BBC documentary and decided to visit as part of our trip through Namibia. What an inspiring place, run by lovely people who really care about the future of these endangered animals. So inspired by Maria's efforts - her love for Honeybun, and her care for the animals at the shelter was clearly apparent, and she made time to hug us and say hello despite being busy unloading furniture and provisions. We were charmed by the warthogs, in awe of the beautiful birds, (particularly the Cape Griffon vultures and the Bateleur Eagle!) but of course completely taken by the lovely Honeybun!

Go visit these people - you'll learn a lot - have a great time - and you'll help them raise much needed funds to run their organisation and fence their reserve!

My wife and I visited during our tour of Namibia after seeing Maria's work on the 'Attenborough' programme. It is about so much more than Hunnybun the Pangolin and hearing about some of the scientific work that is being done with rare and endangered animals was awesome.

We fell in love with the warthog family and were awed by the vultures.

The only question for us - when can we get back there!

Haven't been yet, but am hoping to get there in the Spring. I have friends who have visited recently and it is amazing the work that is being done by this wonderful woman to protect the fabulous Pangolins who are our most endangered animal and the recent T.V. programme was a good example of her commitment and dedication to these and other animals in Namibia. I can't want to go and thank her personally for all the work she does.

This foundation does so much for wildlife and helping animals on the brink of extinction. Please visit and leave a little something as well. Maria is so incredibly dedicated and the whole staff are incredible.
