I understand that there are no lifts - how many flights of stairs are there to double rooms? (some disability problems) - Thanks
Thank you for writing to us with your question.
I can confirm the hotel has two levels with 20 stairs to each floor, we also have a hand rail along the wall on each side.
I hope this information is helpful and if you would like to discuss this further please contact the hotel on 0141 353 5551.
There a lift inside to the function suite (which we used with a pram) but I don't remember one in the actual hotel. From memory, there are stairs with a couple of turns to the first floor rooms so I wouldn't say the hotel is particularly disability-friendly in this regard.
Hi, there are 2 fairly steep flights of stairs; which depending on the level of disability could be a little difficult to negotiate. The stair bannister is a rope; which although looks nice doesn't really offer a firm grip when ascending/descending stairs! Hope this helps.
From memory it is one set of stairs to the majority of rooms, which are on first floor. It's a very wide spiral staircase maybe 20-25 steps so not too long.
Sorry I just noticed that your coming from America so calling the hotel probably isn't the best solution for you....email perhaps?
I can't remember how many flights of stairs but they maybe will be a problem for you as one of our party also struggled a little, perhaps you could contact the hotel & explain your situation and see what they can do to help? They are extremely friendly are very helpful people.
