I am just mesmerised about their success. I have always been shy to enter into these reviews believing that they are for big establishments. But The Pipers is 8 rooms just like my establishment.
What is the trick for success, what kind of activities does it do to complement the bed accommodation?
Thank you for your question about our establishment. We don’t really have a recipe for success, but we all work very hard trying to achieve guest expectations and more!
We believe in an honest hospitality approach, looking after guests as if they are guests in our own home with courtesy and care.
We are constantly reviewing and bettering our products…bedrooms, restaurant, F&B products, service standards and do this together as a team therefore everyone is engaged and has a desire to succeed.
We listen to our guests and react to feedback from a positive viewpoint in order to better ourselves and the business. The National Piping Centre is a registered charity, therefore we work extra hard to ensure we can support the teaching leg of our business.
It’s simple really…we love what we do!

Have a wonderful day!
I suppose there are many factors.
I was attracted to the place because of:
2. Price especially when compared to other accommodations close by.
3. Something unique (bagpipe centre next door; local cuisine despite me not really liking it too much)
4. Positive reviews
These factors made me "overlook" the negatives when booking, such as lack of full service amenities of a hotel, lack of lifts, basic room amenities.
After staying there, I wrote a positive review because it met my expectations for
1. Clean, safe room/ensuite, building and environs
2. No smells (either in the room, bedding or outside)
3. Windows that can be opened for fresh air
4. Relatively quiet
5. Relatively convenient location
6. Free Wifi that works - it's so so important nowadays, and it's infuriating when it's either not available, slow connection or guests are charged an exorbitant price to use it.
They have a restaurant and a piping museum attached. Maybe that's part of it.a destination appeal? And could be the tartan decor, sort of kitschy for tourists :)
I'm trying to book on your website for 2 nights and add in 1 breakfast and 1 Taste of Scotland. But I can't change the numbers. It goes to 2 of each because of the 2 night stay. HELP!
