We have booked a room facing Canary Row for the last week of September - will the room be cool enough without AC? Do the windows open?
Great choice of room. We prefer the Cannery Row view to the ocean view.Yes, the windows/balcony doors open. You will not need the live fire in the room in September - nor A/C! Try to get a room on the first floor overlooking Cannery Row. There is some noise from the street but not too imposing.
The windows do open, and from my experience, it doesn't get too hot there. I never had an issue with it.
The daily high in September is typically low 70's, A/C isn't common in Monterey. Addressing a previous reply, noise was not an issue either. Relax, enjoy.
Hello! I would think that it would be fine. You can open the windows. We had a room on the beach/water side of the hotel and it was very quiet and we slept with the windows open. It was cool in the evenings. I don't know that it would be that quiet on the Cannery Row side.
Yes, the windows open. The weather can get quite cool in the evenings so you should be very comfortable without air conditioning. Be warned: Street noise from Cannery Row can be pretty loud when the windows are open.
The windows do open. My room had a balcony and was plenty cool in May!
