This is Wales' very own 'Escape to the Chateau'! Matt & Laura have been painstakingly restoring this old property to an incredibly high standard, retaining original features and finishing it with furniture and decoration that infuses it with oodles of charm and character! The garden and the animals provide a stunning & peaceful area to chill out in after a day exploring the region. The breakfasts are outstanding, alongside yoghurt, fresh fruit and a range of cereal are freshly prepared dishes, staying for 3 days we made it through all the options and each one is amazing! 😋 The hosts are incredibly welcoming and helpful, nothing is too much trouble and by the time you leave you definitely feel you're staying with friends rather than at a B&B. Finally the location is brilliant for exploring the area from, Brecon, Hay-on-Wye and Crickhowell are all only 20min away and there's such a multitude of activities and places to eat within the area. We'll definitely be back!

We stayed a couple of nights at the College B and B and enjoyed excellent customer service from the owners. The breakfast was great and a relaxed no rushed affair. The rooms are a mixture of old world charm and modern convenience and very spacious. The grounds are a small holding next to a farm and guests are welcome to visit the animals. We had a great time and would recommend a visit.

From the moment we arrived the welcome was warm, helpful and kind. It felt like we had arrived at the home of a good friend despite never having been there before. Our hostess Laura and partner Matt have put so much love and attention to detail into restoring this beautiful 16th century farmhouse and its garden. It exudes warmth, style, creativity and comfort. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. We can't wait to return.

Laura and Matt were extremely accommodating and attentive and very friendly and easy to chat to The breakfast choices were plentiful and varied. The accommodation was tastefully decorated and a lot of thought had gone into the ‘little things’ which make a difference. Laura made a cake for our arrival for my partners birthday which was a lovely touch. The outdoor garden was great with chickens and lambs and lovely seating areas. This is a lovely B&B to stay at and ideally located to explore South Wales and Brecon beacon area. The hosts are part way through lovingly renovating the 500 year old building. A stay here is recommended. Would love to stay again !!

My husband and I visited College Farm with friends and it was just perfect. The house is amazing and Matt really has worked so hard to bring it up to the standard it is, the decor was so exciting, each and every corner of the house has been thought about and so well done. We loved roaming around the gardens, the new herb gardens and giving those little lambs a cuddle too. Both Laura and Matt were fabulous hosts from start to finish! We will Most definitely be back again! Simply perfect 👌🏻
