Given the location (on the road to Tanzania) this is a welcome stopping place and watering hole. The rooms are generally clean and the wildlife is mainly down to the odd small cockroach. As it is not surrounded by greenery mosquitoes are rare but bed nets are provided. Water is hot and plentiful, this year, which was not the case last year, so improvements have been made. Breakfast is included which comprises two slices of bread and an egg, with tea or coffee. You can pay more for cereals etc. You can also have lunch and dinner there. It often gets full , as Mpika is developing, so you may need to book ahead (the president's entourage filled the place last week, for example!).
