Bula P & D, and thank you so much for taking the time to write such an epic and magnificent, detailed review of your recent stay with us! We are delighted you had a wonderful experience at Viwa and we are always glad to hear that we exceeded expectations. We are very fortunate to be blessed by nature with a beautiful white sandy beach and warm turqouise waters, but we are equally blessed with an amazing team at Viwa who will go out of their way to ensure you have a happy and memorable stay. We're glad you enjoyed the diving - we have some incredible dive sites around Viwa Island, and we believe it really is a joy and a privilege to be able to experience and share our remarkable underwater world with our guests. It was great that you immersed yourselves in the Fijian culture, and you enjoyed meeting our other guests. The interaction between guests often makes a holiday just that more special. I'm sorry that the Pacific Island Air flight from Viwa to Nadi took a long time. I know that some people enjoy a long scenic seaplane flight, but I can understand that if you were expecting a 30-minute flight back to Nadi then the additional stops were frustrating so apologies for that. Thank you again P & D for doing your research and for choosing Viwa Island Resort. We loved having you here, and we do hope you will come back and spend more time with your Fijian family in the near future. Vinaka vaka levu and best regards from all your friends at Viwa.

Hi,We are planning our 10th anniversary trip to Fiji and interest to stay in Viwa Island. I checked the above responses to other customers and will doing a major touch up at the end of the peak season. May I know when will it start and finish? Viwa Island is our first pick for our 1st Fiji trip but I'm super scar about the rat.
Thank you for your query and plans to stay with us on your 10th anniversary. Maintenance on the resort is ongoing with up keeping our facilities and the product offered at the highest standard. Any work carried out will not disrupt services and done out of sight from guest on the resort. Management and Staff can assure you our "Friendly Fijian Hospitality" and look forward personally meeting you both on the resort. Being in the tropical, we do have the odd pests which the resort have a programme in place with stations placed in areas for the control of all pests. Treatments are carried out monthly with very effective results. Vinaka Patrick

Ciao, volevo sapere se nella struttura parlano italiano. Grazie!
Bula and buon giorno Veronica I'm afraid we don't have any Italian speakers at the resort but our band will sing "Marina" in Italian to you every night! We always do our best to try and understand what our guests need, but we operate on the language of love, happiness and big bula smiles to ensure you have the best Fijian holiday experience :) Ciao and best regards Sheung

Are the beaches swimmable at Viwaisrland resort? Thank you!!
Bula Thank you for your enquiry and I am pleased to tell you that as we have a protective reef at the front of Viwa Island Resort the sea is great for swimming and snorkelling in. We have a variety of reef fish in this area and if you are lucky you can even see turtles that swim into the reef. I hope this assists you and please get in touch if you have any more questions about Viwa. Vinaka Louise

Which airport do we need to fly into and what times are the transfers? I need to know what flights to book and what time they need to arrive and leave.
Bula! You will need to fly into Nadi airport. There are two ways to reach Viwa Island (1) Yasawa Flyer (high speed catamaran) or (2) seaplane. The Yasawa Flyer leaves Denarau Marina at 8.30 am each morning so you will need to arrive in Nadi by 6.00 am/6.30 am to have sufficient time to clear immigration and customs, and get to the marina (about 30 minutes from the airport) to catch the Yasawa Flyer. We will pick you up from the Flyer at around 11.00 am in our resort boat to bring you over to Viwa Island and you will arrive here around 11.45 am. There are 2 seaplane companies coming to Viwa - Pacific Island Air and Turtle Airways. We can arrange a seaplane transfer to fit in with your flight arrival (provided you arrive by 3 pm so the plane can return to base before sunset). The scenic flight takes 30 minutes and it really is the best way to arrive in paradise! For your flights home, please bear in mind that the Yasawa Flyer arrives back in Denarau at 5.45 pm each evening so you will only be able to take the Flyer back to Nadi if you have a late evening connection (ie. after 9 pm, allowing for delays and check-in times). You can take the seaplane back to Nadi to maximise your time on Viwa. We normally allow a 3-hour window before your connecting flight which gives you 30 minutes transfer time plus time to get to the airport and check-in time. Please note that the earliest seaplane transfer would be around 8 am, so your connecting flight would have to be after 11 am. We shall be happy to assist with arranging your transfers, and we can give you full details, including transfer costs, if you email us direct. Vinaka and best regards Sheung

Hi wondering if other restaurants nearby? Or will we take all our meals on property? And what is the best way to get to this island if we arrive in Nadi Airport?
Bula Viwa island is a small remote island and there are no other resorts or restaurants nearby. We have an onsite restaurant at the restaurant where our guests have breakfast, lunch and dinner. We offer a variety of Fijian and international dishes with all our fish caught locally and many of our fruits and vegetables grown on the island and in our own nursery. The best way to get to the island is by seaplane. There are two sea plane operators coming to Viwa Island – Turtle Airways and Pacific Island Air. The scenic flight takes just 30 minutes from Nadi, and flights can be arranged to connect with your international flight arrivals and departures. Please note that the seaplanes only fly during daylight hours so your international flight needs to have landed by 3pm. The great advantage of the sea plane option is that you won’t have to overnight in Nadi if you arrive by 3pm. You can also come to the island by high speed catamaran, however the Yasawa Flyer, operated by Awesome Adventures, departs only once a day from Port Denarau at 8.30 am each morning. It will drop you off at Waya Island (Octopus Resort) at around 11.00 am and we pick you up from Waya Island on our resort boat for the transfer to Viwa Island which will take another 40 minutes. We would be happy to arrange your transfers for you if you contact us with your arrival and departure details. Vinaka Louise
