Two apts (I believe 2 and definitely 3) are upstairs and could be hard for an elderly person. If you are on the bottom ( 4 and 5) just a couple of steps, relatively flat and enough room to walk beside your parents.

Dear Marsha, I appreciate your responding to our review. It's sad that it has taken you this long to do so, however we would never take other peoples used soap from drawers, as we didn't want to handle them at all. We were looking for additional toilet paper and found half of a role in one of those drawers and the used soaps and used shampoo in the other. I actually resent that implication. As for the condition of the bathroom shower, I took samples of it and it comes up as a very high ph mildew. I actually do have a different handle with several other reviews that you're not obviously reading. And I apologize if you're only seeing the negative in this review, because I find when I do these reviews that that's what people hon in on, I showed beautiful pictures of your room as well, and I claimed very positive thoughts about your room, but you or whomever is below does simply talk too loudly and guests should not be overhearing your private conversations. You spoke about things involving the event we had just attended and there was someone else present. I can tell the difference between a television and people who are having a fluid conversation. The wood chipper & saw began at began at 8am iper my telephone call to you on my phone log. It is my job to keep people on their toes, thank you for acknowledging that. Clearly the only reviews you want posted here are ones that don't call you out for the things that could use improvement. As a property management professional of 32 years, I can promise you that was an honest and fair review based on a two night stay there. And btw....we had our bags packed more than an hour before your normal checkout time. We had gone out on the property for an hour which you weren't aware of. It has to be said that of the now only 4 negative reviews, your is not truly being considered that negative, under this particular handle of Debrasong, not one of them have come back negatively toward me, In fact they not only validated these concerns but addressed them, and thanked me and then went beyond that to refund me for a night that was not up to "their standards". Or mine for that matter. It's something you might keep in mind moving forward when you look at your customer service approach. I'm truly sorry that instead of choosing to take the constructive criticism or any points noted that were supported by photographs, I left some that were worse out for your own information, and instead didn't hear something more positive back from you. But I think that that simply further supports the lack of relationship between you and your guests. It's hard to know whether you have a connection with a person when you've only spent five minutes through a door way during your entire time there. I was not judging you as a person, I was simply giving a review on the room and our stay there. I am no perfectionist, but I'm going to note the things that stand out as definitely needing to be addressed, and that are of an advertising issue, or a sanitary, cleaning, comfort or health & safety concern, and frankly I don't think my other review you've pointed out, complaining about someone leaving a marijuana pipe in a window, or a sewage leak coming from a bathroom sink being something I should've left out of any of my reviews. Or that I stayed at a place that was under full and total construction, where I was put on the 4th floor and we had to use the stairs the entire time. I have a disability and cannot do four flights of stairs. When you're not told the place is under construction that's a problem. When they advertise free breakfast on site and its closed for construction, that's a problem. When they advertise free parking but there isnt any at night, that's a problem. I hope we are getting on the same sheet of music now. People want to know these things. They want to know that when they come back at 1 o'clock in the morning they're going to have a place to park. Debra, The electric space heater/ fireplace does not take real wood. You simply open the door on it ,turn the heat on and adjust the artificial flame and heat to your liking. The heat comes from the bottom of the unit. The window unit is air conditioning only There is also a ceiling fan in the room, The bathroom has heat lamps.I would have been happy to show you how to use the electric space heater if you would have asked.The heater or air conditioner would have been on when you arrived if we felt it was needed at the time. If you visit Julian again, I hope you have a much better experience. This will be my last response. Sincerely, Marsha
