Being avid fans of the paramount series Yellowstone, my husband and I started following chief Joseph ranch online. When we found out we could stay at the actual location where the show is filmed, we knew we had to get there! We invited our good friends with us. So four adults and two kids made the trip from the back streets of jersey to the wide open Montana sky. Before arriving, Angela was so attentive and helpful with suggestions on what to do with our unique group. Traveling with an 8 and 3 year old isn't for the weak. We spent Monday - Friday at the ranch and absolutely fell in love. We had the unique opportunity of staying in both cabins. Both were beautiful and we really felt at home, no matter where we were on the ranch. Shane and Angela were the best hosts. We had full access to the property at all times and made so many great memories. We were all able to relax, reflect and bond with each other and with nature. The property has one great view after another. Now I know why they call it big sky country. The guys went fly fishing and went for an atv tour while the mamas and babies went for lunch and shopping in downtown Darby. One night we had a delectable meal by private chef Shelly, and it was an amazing Montana meal. Lake como was breathtaking and the star gazing at night was like nothing we'd ever seen. What a perfect place for family friends to reunite and connect. It was somewhat of a spiritual experience for all of us. Came for the show, will go back for the easy living flow. We left our hearts in Darby, Montana. Thank you Angela and Shane for sharing your little view of heaven!

Jaw-dropping landscapes combined with the finest hospitality that Montana has to offer. From the first moment we stepped foot onto Chief Joseph Ranch, we were captivated by the sheer beauty of the property, set against an unbelievable mountain backdrop. Shane and Angela treated us like family and made us feel right at home. They gave us great recommendations for horseback riding, whitewater rafting, and places to eat, leading to memories that will last a lifetime. They also took the time to give us a tour of the ranch and share their experiences. A “bucket-list” must for “Yellowstone” fans! Don’t forget to stay up late and soak it the beauty of the “Big Sky.” You will be sure to catch a shooting star.

Chief Joseph Ranch is by far the most beautiful trip I've ever taken. The ranch is the real star of Yellowstone! Shane and Angela are amazing people and made us feel like family. I may be back home in the every day grind but a part of me is still there.

A real ranch, beautifully maintained. Authentic working ranch, fields of grass, horses, with mountain views to melt your heart. Rushing water, streams, old logs, buried bones can be found. You get close to living the dream, seeing the terrain, needing a big hat. It will take your breath away! It brought tears to my eyes with the beauty.

We were so excited to visit Chief Joseph Ranch and our expectations were far exceeded! From the time we booked to the time we left the Ranch, we were treated just like we were home surrounded by family! Shane and Angela not only have a special place in the best state of Montana but they also have a special gift of hospitality. We had the opportunity to visit with 3 other families and each one of us will tell you the same...you must have this experience! The cabins are amazing, the scenery is breathtaking, the people are the best kind of kind, and it is just icing on the cake to get the experience of touring the Yellowstone set. I cannot say enough good things about Chief Joseph Ranch as well as Shane and Angela. We absolutely cannot wait to visit again soon!
