This is quite simply the best homestay I have ever stayed at. It's an old house on a hill slope not far from the main city centre of Shillong. The house is lovingly maintained and is filled with thousands of small collectible items. It has a parlour with a fireplace, a small terrace and a sort of secret garden which is simply out of this world. The bedrooms are warm and cosy with lots of old antique furniture. We were well looked after by the skeletal staff who are very positive, always smiling and full of warmth. The food was simple but well cooked and tasty. They were open to our suggestions and quick to respond. We were really lucky to run into Mr Ashoke the owner who is warm and gracious host. He happens to be a vintage car enthusiast and showed us around his heavenly garden (which is personally maintained with utmost love and care by his mother) and two of his cars, a WW-II Willys Jeep and a Woody. He was kind enough to invite us to his home where he has now shifted but we couldn't make it since we were in Shillong only for a day. We came away with unforgettable memories and sincerely hope to return and spend some more time there.…

We were a group of seven women on an adventure tour in Meghalaya. On our way back we stayed a night at Rock Cliff Home stay in Shillong. This place is simply awesome. The place was so beautifully and aesthetically set up. The rooms were spotless and spacious. A lovely drawing come dining and an adjacent bar were simply superb. You need a day just to admire their home and the lovely garden. The service staff were very courteous and ready to help willingly. They even sourced us a tub of yogurt for us when we sat down for dinner! The owner Mr. Lyngdoh was so warm and welcoming, we felt completely at home. Must visit state Meghalaya and you have to spend a few days in Rock Cliff Home Stay.

Was a very hospitable stay at Rick cliff. The fact that we were women travelling by ourselves,the staff at rock cliff went that extra mile to ensure we were looked after. Thank you Mr. Lyngdoh and Bhaskar for the awesome food and all the tips that made our stay at Meghalaya comfortable.

A very beautifully send tastefully done home. The owner has put in so much thought in each and every corner of the house. Loved the small details dnd collections in every corner. I'm still not sure I have not missed anything. Very friendly staff and super tasty food. We ate more than we planned to in every meal we had here. Would definitely recommend this place

The place is a Museum of Relaxation amidst curios, fireplace, gardens, bonsai and pretty good food with a winter fireplace where you can read to your spouse on a quiet evening with the twigs crackling in the fire. Bhaskar,Ashok and Bari would look after your needs on behalf of Ashok Lyngdoh the owner.
