Dear Kapil Ji Your review does not provide for great reading...but that's how things might turn in to at times.. We accept such situations with humility and look for ways to improve where things are not up to the mark after a proper analysis. We also understand that you have exercised your freedom in expressing your views openly and freely and I am sure you would want us to do the same. From your opening lines its clear that the property has done well where it mattered the most. Thank you. Well...the rest of the review poses two problems. One, you have called the breakfast spread "Pathetic" insulting both GOD who provided for it and the people who made it. Living here in the hotel and being in touch with the F&B department on an hourly basis I can vouch for the fact that the food made here can be ; not to one's liking , less tasty, or even poorly made, but NEVER PATHETIC. People are dying out there of starvation and I don't think that "Pathetic" is the word one should choose to describe food. Its clear that the flower experience made you insult the food on the table. According to me its extremely insensitive and thoughtless to write such things on a public forum. However I have no objection to your general rating of 3 stars as everyone has the freedom to decide how many stars a property should get at the end of the day. Let's now deal with the issue of Flower. Taking cognizance of just what you have written I would only appreciate my staff who did what was required to save a piece of hotel property - even if that was just a flower. I have taught them this "no one has any right to destroy anything that is placed there for the benefit of all". I am glad that it is being followed to the letter. Everyday we have some or the other case of hotel property being spoiled , sometimes its the hand towel that is used for wiping shoes, sometimes its the kettle ( which is meant for boiling water alone) that gets used for cooking Maggie noodles, sometimes its children who are left off the hook by the parents who run amok and drop things. The Panoramic Getaway is a hotel and not a bus stand. So we ensure that order prevails through a series of measures like fines, warnings and even eviction. Unless certain rules are enforced , the next guest who checks in to the hotel will have a tough time. Ultimately , the Panoramic Getaway stands for all guests who have a right to -as you said-"very neat and well maintained" surroundings and strict application of rules are meant to achieve that. For this we have only one role model- "Singapore". A full house does throw things out of gear once in a while and finding a table for breakfast might involve some waiting but I humbly request our patrons to adjust and accommodate with the situation and we would in turn do everything in our power to ease things out. It also happens when 90% of guests arrive between 9.30 to 10.30 am. Had it not been for your review I would not get a chance to express all these which I wanted to do for a long time..so thank you very much. Best regards Sona Bennett

Dear Mr Mathew, After a long time we have a full fledged review on some fine dining experience at the PG and nothing can be tastier for all of us behind the scenes. The UNDERGROUND specialty restaurant where you had a wonderful time is the final product of a lot of planning and painstaking work. We did want this facility to be the the icing on the cake as far the Panoramic Getaway is concerned. A lot of guests have called it truly international, in its appearance , preparation and presentation. Your review has truly summarized the spirit of our UNDERGROUND specialty restaurant . Thank you. Credit should also go to Chef Pavitra and his team who have come from far away places to entertain our taste buds. I would like to thank and appreciate them for their sense of experimentation and drive to bring out an extra ordinary menu for connoisseurs like Mr Mathew. Well done indeed. Best regards Sona Bennett

Dear Guest, Honestly I cannot thank you for your words...because like a news report it only gives half the story. The rest is always below the surface and it is up to the hotel to bring up the hidden part that is so conveniently overlooked. First of all we appreciate you for the good words on the facilities available. We are only a hotel and not a powerhouse ...if the grid has an issue it is the government's problem. Kindly don"t blame the hotel for it. In our case a "comprehensive working power back up arrangement" is in place. That is the best we can do. It includes uninterrupted working of TV's , wifi , emergency lights in all common areas, rooms and bath rooms. Only the lift will have a 30 second interruption. Power breakdowns affects no one practically. Ms Jancy was personally spoken to and I discovered that you were demanding two King Size beds in a twin bed room. Well... hotels ordinarily have two 4 ft wide beds in a twin bed room and nothing more. She was right when she said that this is the norm in a five star hotel.I do not see the need to be apologetic for speaking out the truth. Besides you were given a change of room. Shall we now move to the untold part..? Specially for the benefit of the readers of this review. Your child caused a major damage to the hotel by breaking the huge glass panel of the room costing the hotel upwards Rs 12000 and two days of cleaning and repair. And we did not charge you for it. I am sure that such a magnanimous gesture was taken as part of the bad customer experience by you...! I have just one thing to say to the world in this matter. We seriously believe in taking great care of our guests -as vouched by so many great reviwers in these pages- and are undeterred in our endevour even if occasional half truths do appear. Sona Bennett

First of all, The Panoramic Gataway is a five star hotel in Munnar (not a resort). Well, water in the swimming pool is warm enough even in the nights of November and you could have no problems while using it with your kids.

Hi, Does the kids zone have play stations.
We did not really give our attention to this detail, since only me and my wife stayed at Panoramic Getaway. I am therefore unable to confirm whether of not they had play stations in the kids zone. Really very sorry.

Does the Club suite have a view or balcony? ??

Is there is a bar in your Hotel
No, there isn't. There are no bars in any of the hotels in Munnar. Except, maybe Club Mahindra. There is a liquor retail outlet in munnar town, but all brands may not be available. There was a liquor outlet retailing all brands in Adimali a town on the way to munnar but after the recent court ruling that has shut down. A word of advice whenever you are travelling to kerala please carry your own liquor as the state has partial prohibition. Only 5 stars and state run liquor outlets can serve alcohol. And after the recent ruling even many 5 stars have had to stop servind liquor
