On a road trip through Washington State, Idaho and Montana, the Brew House has been my favourite lodging so far. We have stayed one night in the nostalgia suite. Everything was impeccably clean, the huge bed super-comfortable and the decor quirky. See attached picture - why can’t modern fridges look like this?! The whole place has been created with a lot of love and attention to detail. It is far removed from chain hotel blandness. Kittitas itself is small. We visited the bar and the shop but didn’t make it to the winery. We watched a film and just relaxed in the room for the evening. If I were coming back I would come for the live music and wine-tasting on a Friday and then bring back a bottle to chill in that spectacular fridge... Highly recommend this place!
This seemed like a neat place on the internet, so we decided to stay one night on our way to Coeur d' Alene from Portland. I booked the room directly with Brenda, the owner, by e-mail and then over the phone. There are two units at the property and we chose the Western Suite. Room was about $120 for the night, plus a $20.00 charge for our dog. The rooms are on the second floor over a wine bar. The wine bar was closed the day we stayed, and no one booked the unit next to us, so we had the whole building to ourselves. The Western Suite was clean and very cozy. My wife thought the bed was one of the best she had ever slept in, and the the bathroom was spotless and had everything we needed. There was a mini fridge/freezer and microwave in the room, as well as a coffee maker. There is no cable or satellite in the room but there were streaming services to watch movies or old television shows. Kittitas is very small but only about a five-ten minute drive to Ellensburg, a cute college town. We brought pizza back to the room but there are a couple of places to eat in Kittitas and a small market a block away. We also bought coffee from a little stand by the hardware store and loved the used book store down the street (Bailey's Bibliomania), which allowed our dog inside. If you can live without regular television for a night or two and would like a quiet location without much nightlife, I highly recommend this property.…
I don't normally give 'perfect' marks but not sure how this property could be any better. Very clean, very well appointed (relatively new) rooms, very well thought out with the 'little things' and lots of info in room. Very comfortable bed. Nice to have the winery / tasting bar downstairs which we enjoyed - was a little loud (not terrible) after we came upstairs, but closes at 8:00 so not a big deal. Not a huge town (not a criticism, just fact) but very close to Ellensburg. Would highly recommend if in area, and would stay again. Nicely done!
This is a hidden gem! Brew House Boarding in Kittitas, Washington is beautiful. Our room was large, comfortable and immaculate. It is clear the owners take special pride in this little oasis in the center of town. Our room was actually 2 rooms with a huge king size bed in the master. I’m not positive, but I think the sheets were even hand ironed! There is a winery tasting room downstairs (Thrall and Dodge) and a great bar/restaurant across the street. Any trip to central Washington and Ellensburg deserves a night at Brew House Boarding.
Stayed just one night during a road trip and it was the most comfortable bed we slept in. The owners have given great attention to detail in the refurbishment with high quality fixtures and fittings. Highly recommended.
