When booking on Expedia our policy clearly states "no bikes allowed in rooms". Even right before you confirmed your booking online, it states it again. You choose to book anyway. Upon checkin it was clearly stated to you verbally and pointed to on the paperwork that we do not allow bikes in the rooms. You DID agree to that and continued checking in with us. You then came back 10 mins later and begged us to allow you to place your bikes in the rooms. I then declined stating it is our policy and most people drag mud all over our carpets so we make it a firm policy not to allow it. You again agreed and stated ok you will work something else out. 15 mins later when I was out with another guest, you were seen by both of us, wheeling your bike around the back of the motel thru mud and dirt and into your patio door on the clean carpet. After finishing with the other guest, who too had bikes which were locked to his car, I called your room and asked, "I did not just see you putting your bike in the room right?" You stated yes I know I shouldn't but I had no choice. I said wow, your willing to accept a cleaning fee up to $250.00? You said "Oh, well". By the way, the paperwork as well CLEARLY states an amount of fees or charges that occur. I provided a copy to you upon checkin to which you tossed in the garbage. 5 minutes later my husband walked out and knocked on your door stating it is best that you leave since you have been deceitful and went against our policy. The camera clearly shows him at least 5 feet from your door when you opened in and the microphone on the camera provides clear statements and he did not make you feel threatened in any way. Say what you may but at any time when you KNEW you couldn't have bikes in the room, you could have stated you wanted to cancel your reservation and go elsewhere. At least you were honest enough to say you were dishonest but as far as imbellishing the event, it is all on video camera with clear conversations. I will be happy to say we stand up for our business and work hard to provide great rooms and rates for our guest. We are very accommodating and friendly but when a guest clearly disregards our policies, we ask them to leave. Rules are rules and you clearly when against ours even after you were denied. It is guests like you that feel they can defraud an innkeeper and be ok with doing so. We take pride in our place and have policies for a reason.

Have owned this place for over a decade and have learned that there are only a few people out there think that can defraud an innkeeper. Being lied to and having to deal with an irrational customer who doesn't allow you to explain or even a moment to speed is quite frustrating. You called and asked why you were charged $100 and we politely said it was for damages and xtra cleaning. We only asked if you had a dog in the room because of the black dog hair all over the room. From linens to chairs to carpet and even in the bathroom dog hair was present. The stains and damage to the linens alone was what you were charged for. We charged the replacement cost of those items only. We did not charge for the closure of the room for that next night or the extra hours it took to steam clean the carpets, chairs and curtains. It was not in any way out of line to charge a customer for damages that incurred during their stay. Out of line is the words you used and way you spoke to us. I shouldn't have to justify a customers damage in a review but feel it is only right others know the truth... when a customer won't fess up to reality and expect a small business to obsorb their damages, that's unjust. I will be happy to provide pictures of the damages to anyone who asks so you can make your own mind of what is a justified charge or not. We clearly stated we don't allow pets and for you to assume it way ok to have such is not rational.
