We had a lovely stay at Maximilian. Typical austrian breakfast of Semmel's, ham, cheese and jam, alternating days we had yoghurts or boiled eggs. The coffee at breakfast is good and you can smell it from the top floor in the morning! We had room 9 with a private bathroom & balcony. Our only niggle was that the doors were thin and we had a room opposite noisy kids getting up for ski school, not what you want after a night out in Jam Jar.. We had plenty of towels, bedding was comfortable and matresses not too soft, which we we were very happy about! This is a guesthouse so no TV or Wifi, but it was nice to have a digital detox. Ski store was warm to dry out your equiptment, there were only 4 of us that week that used it as a lot of people leave their hire gear at the lifts. Maximilian and Andrea's english is enough for them to get by answering basic questions about ski buses etc but they were very friendly. They definitely appreciate you using german to say thank you and please! We would definitely stay here again Danke schön!…
Very pleasant stay at the Maximillian, hosts are polite and helpful, rooms basic but well kept and sufficient for an enjoyable budget ski holiday with somewhere to base from if you like eating out, plenty of places to try somewhere new in Soll every day (No kitchen facilities as expected from a guesthouse) Short 5min walk to centre of Soll and 10/15min walk to lifts (Bus runs on time and is very efficient from a stop 1min walk away from the hotel 'griel' in Pirchmoos) Breakfast provided is standard continental with 2 rolls, selection of meats/cheese and Yoghurt / Jams. Don't be put off that it seems far from the centre, I was pleasantly surprised at how close it was even though it is technically in Pirchmoos! Overall very satisfied with my stay here and would visit again.
Nice little B&B... warm and cosy. Very friendly owners, Max and Andrea. Breakfast consists of 6 baps , tea coffee, juice, ham and cheese. Every other day you can get an egg. It’s all you really need. Don’t book this place if you’re expecting the Ritz! 2 minutes from the village and restaurants. 10-15 walk to the gondola, there is a ski bus if you want to get it. It’s free., we always walked. Definitely going back.
This guesthouse was spotlessly cleaned and well maintained. In a great position 5 minutes walk from town centre and near a skibus stop. Comfy beds and lovely shower. The place was let down by old thin towels and a very limited continental breakfast. If you did not eat white crusty bread rolls you went without! Overall we did enjoy our stay with these lovely people. If I went back I would just take my own towel and cereal/muesli.
We had room 10 nice and basic with private WC, shower, balcony, cleaned daily. Very pleasant and accommodating owners.About 5 minutes walk to the centre & ski bus. We left our skis to the bottom of gondola sky depot (18 EUR/week each), well worth it. Good place to be for the price.
