Das gannet cottage ist ein absoluter Traum! Wir waren als Pärchen da und hatten alles, was wir gebraucht haben! Es war absolut kein Problem, auf dem kleinen Parkplatz einen Platz für das Auto zu finden, alle sind super entspannt, wenn es mal mit dem Ausladen am Haus ein bisschen länger dauert. Es gibt zwei Läden und einen Pub und viel Ebbe und Flut! Brian ist der perfekte Gastgeber, danke für die schöne Zeit!

Exactly as described, 3 metres from the edge of the sea wall, beautiful views over the sea from the lounge. A beach to the left hand side, the harbour to the right and a short walk round the headland to the small fishing village of Crovie. Above the beach the ruins of St John's Church and Kirkyard, the path to the church had washed away due to storms but a local lady told us how to get there without having to go the 3+ miles by road, beautiful views from the top right across Gamrie bay. It was such a nice place we only ventured out once to teh aquarium at Macduff, we spent our time walking along the beach over o Crovie or just sitting in the harbour talking to locals. The is a "Wee Shoppie" that sells most things and is open every day until 9:00, a small cafe and gift shop, Eli's, that is open Wednesday - Sunday and a small hotel, the Garden Arms where they do evening meals, the fresh haddock was excellent. A very enjoyable week, our daily walk does is not quite the same !

Just back from a lovely stay in Gannet Cottage with husband and kids. Not sure which is lovelier - the cottage or the village. Can’t wait to visit both again.

Had a totally relaxing week in this beautiful seafront cottage. Loved watching the sea come in and out - literally a few metres away at high tide. Enjoyed watching all the seabirds, including the two resident herons. The cottage was scrupulously clean, with crisp bedding and fluffy towels.Cosy, well equipped and beautifully decorated. The coffee maker was a nice touch. Plenty to do nearby. We would not hesitate in returning.

We had a lovely two weeks in this cottage. The view was spectacular, the sea literally on our doorstep . It was extremely tranquil - probably because we were very fortunate with the weather! The cottage itself we found be cosy and comfortable on the whole, but it could benefit from a dishwasher. The kitchen was plenty large enough to accommodate one. Gardenstown itself was very quaint and the locals were friendly. It has a handy Wee Shoppe and a local pub. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and would highly recommend Gannet Cottage.

We have just returned from a wonderful week staying in Gannet cottage! We had the best sunny weather, which meant we were on the beach every day - which is just a short walk from the cottage (ideal for getting the kids back after a swim!) In the evenings, we loved looking out to sea and enjoying the incredible views sitting by the wood burning stove. There are views in 3 directions, which meant there was always something to see. A highlight was bird watching through the telescope provided. Our children especially loved their holiday and didn't want to leave Gardenstown!

We have been to Gardenstown many times but this is our first visit to Gannet Cottage & I will highly recommend a stay here. The scenery is breathtaking and the cottage has stunning views from 3 windows downstairs. There is everything you need and more The owner, Brian, couldn't be more helpful. The locals are friendly & we were lucky to see a pod of dolphins and a Minke Whale all from the sofa. Beautiful sunsets too. You will not want to leave, we didn't! Cannot recommend this enough. Thanks Brian for a wonderful holiday.

Nous avons passe une excellente semaine à Gannett cottage. Le gîte est très confortable et conforme à la description.Que des bonnes surprises. La vue est magnifique,les balades dans le village offrent plusieurs points de vue intéressants.les habitants sont accueillants et charmants.et les jumelles à disposition afin de observer les oiseaux quelle bonne idée!

We loved this traditional little cottage. I totally chilled out sitting with the wood burning stove just feet from the sea. We'll be back.

Die allererste Anfahrt zum Cottage auf dem schmalen Weg, war in der Dunkelheit, etwas abenteuerlich (aber wir hatten uns schnell daran gewöhnt). Dank der exakten Beschreibung von Brian war das Finden des Schlüssels absolut problemlos. Und im Cottage selber wurden wir dann herzlich und warm mit bereits eingeschalteter Weihnachtsbeleuchtung empfangen. Das Häuschen sieht innen exakt so aus, wie man es auf den Fotos sehen kann. Die Ausstattung ist genial, wir haben überhaupt nichts vermisst. Ganz besonders fantastisch ist der Blick aufs Meer! Stundenlang saßen wir dort, bei wärmendem Kaminfeuer, haben aufs Meer gestarrt, den Lauf der Wellen verfolgt, Vögel beobachtet, den örtlichen Hundebesitzern zugeschaut und, vor allem, die Seele baumeln lassen. Und, konnten wir uns von diesem Anblick doch mal losreißen, gab es genügend schöne Orte, die wir in maximal einer Stunde Fahrzeit erreichen konnten. Ein herrlicher Ort um Weihnachten mal ganz anders zu verbringen, als wir es gewohnt waren.
