This was our 2nd time here in 2 years and definitely won’t be our last! We loved every moment of staying at this beautiful property set in gorgeous grounds. It is rural, but only 15 mins away in the car to a big supermarket and small shopping centre, (Esselungo- on the way to Asti) with a few smaller food shops closer and Moncalvo 10mins away for a small city with shops and a few restaurants. Asti is only 25 mins away. There are some fabulous restaurants locally, and great little bars for an aperitivo (drink such as wine, Aperol Spritz with snacks).
3 lovely bedrooms, the master is stunning and overlooks the grounds. Shower rooms are all en-suite with an extra downstairs.
Large open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room. The kitchen is the best -equipped we have come across in a holiday home.
Immediately off the living area is the dining terrace, ( also perfect for my morning workout with a view!) and a few steps away, a seating area built in under a pergola. A garden full of wild flowers, and this year the poppies were amazing. Stepping down to the next level is a ‘lounging’ terrace. A new corner sofa and table has been added since our last visit, and this is an absolute bonus. There are also 2 hanging egg chairs. It is the perfect place for morning coffee and afternoon/evening cocktails. The inviting pool with loungers is the final level, and the views across the fields are stunning, with the mountain range to see on a clear day.
Sara and Mark are wonderful hosts, the welcome pack they left contain wine and Prosecco, crisps, breadsticks, delicious biscuits, milk, coffee, fruit, olive oil, and a number of other essential items as part of a starter pack. Very thoughtful and a lovely touch. Plus flowers from the garden!
The house/guidebook app they use is excellent, not just for the house but for local recommendations. There is nothing more to say, other than, you must book this place!
