The location is amazing! Perched in the middle of the nature, there is no better place for a calm and relaxing stay far away from the city noises. Hellen is a super host! She is there when you need anything but she knows how to give you privacy when she is not needed. Always on the lookout for help, she even came saturday morning bright and early to clean the swimming pool so we can enjoy it later on. The house is not far from beautiful touristic places such as Malaga, Marbella, Gibraltar and more (we visited all of them ...)! We were there for 9 days and we enjoyed every single minute! I RECOMMEND!

I had stayed before at Monda Mountain with friends so I knew my way around and enjoyed myself enormously. But this time I needed something very different. I was walking wounded after an acute bereavement over a year previously in early 2021 in UK. Floundering, emotionally dessicated and unable to reconnect, I had plateaued and needed help. I can usually sort myself out, but I was beginning to recognise this was an extreme situation. Having considered various options, I contacted Heli, Monda Mountain’s host, to see what was possible at Monda Mountain. Heli got back to me within hours and we spoke on the phone. Ten days later I flew into Malaga, Heli collected me at the airport (part of my all-inclusive price), and I had 9 blissful nights/10 days at Monda Mountain Retreat. The only way to go for me was Heli's revitalisation program, a one-to-one all-inclusive retreat with no other guests on site. It was nurturing, nourishing, healing. In a way, I wasn't on holiday, I was receiving first aid for my soul. I stayed in the comfortable wooden cabin by the pool, which I knew and loved because I'd stayed there before. It felt like a real home. If the weather had been colder, or if I'd preferred, I could have stayed in the adjacent studio with the wall-painting which is the other property in this tripadvisor listing. Food: we had decided to steer clear of fasting as I needed to learn how to eat healthily again. Despite being a good cook, I had been living off ready meals and snacks. Heli made me daily power-packed smoothies and cooked all my meals - breakfast, lunch, dinner - from fresh ingredients to my own dietary profile. I could have had snacks too, but I'd become an accomplished snacker so decided to go without even more. The food was delicious with lots of variety and generous portions, and it really woke up my taste buds again. Heli is also happy to share her recipes and will show you how to do things. Waking up my taste buds means that I actively don't want to eat ready-meals now, or other rubbish - there's no will-power involved in these decisions, a real benefit and good psychology. Therapies: There were lots of therapies, some by Heli and others by visiting therapists, so I chose Heli's face and body therapies, starting gently and building up to the intuitive body massage all with lovely cruelty-free vegan products. I also had a private pool and run of the gardens with their stunning views of the olive groves, mountains and big sky. It’s a very peaceful, contemplative environment yet dynamic and expansive at the same time, which heads off melancholy or introspection. Big skies, stunning cloud formations, yet the village close enough if I wanted a dose of people and Marbella only 30 minutes down the road. I adore Marbella and it was a triumphant moment to lie back on those beach sun-loungers and contemplate a dip in the Med. A dream I didn't even know I had. Value for money was superlative. I can truly say my time at Monda Mountain was completely positive and utterly transformative. We achieved more than I ever dreamed possible and I can completely recommend Heli's revitalisation retreat. You don't have to be walking wounded for this one - it can also be a real time-out pamper session - but the important point to note is that this is a safe emotional space. An excellent support system for body and soul. Four weeks on: I felt so good when I got home that I wanted to keep things going. And I am. I'm feeling brilliant. Everyone is saying I look radiant (always good to hear!). What's not to like?! Thank you Heli!!

In this place you feel a warm hug of nature and love. Helen is as lovely and wonderful as this little paradise, she made a magical universe and she welcomes you, so you can bathe in it (in our case literally, as we had wonderful weather). Apart from the magic, in the practical sense it was perfect. Our cabin was prepared by Helen so that we were as comfortable as possible. She leaves as much private space as you require but if you want she is a delightful nuturing company, and has a lot of wisdom and amazing stories. I recommend to have at least one conversation with her. What a treasure we found! Thank you so much Heli! We will see each other again.

I highly recommend Monda Mountain Retreat. We arranged a girls weekend here to relax and disconnect. Having small children at home, it was amazing to be in nature and treated so wonderfully by Helen our host. We all had treatments, a mountain hike and enjoyed her delicious fantastically presented food 👌 She really is magic and we all left like new women, refreshed and ready with high spirits to get back to our daily lifes.

It is a magical place in the middle of nature. The cabin and the studio with their own personality. The plates of food prepared by Helen are delicious and personalized. Where to start... I was traveling alone down through Spain and needed a place to recharge my brain and its batteries. Close to burnout through work, I found Helen and the MMR through google. Part of the adventure is finding it. The more your travel down the winding lanes past the Olive and Avocado trees, the more my problems slowly began to melt away. Excited by the views, I also had this great feeling of getting lost. IThe views are breathtaking. (Depending on when you arrive or leave - The sunrise and sunset views will blow your mind!) I arrived at sunset and it was extremely special. Once I arrived, the view blew me away and the energy the retreat gives off just seems to meet you in the middle from both for the sun/sky and the earth. Helen has created a magnificent and beautiful sanctuary and I don't know how she has harnessed the energy but you always have this feeling of gratitude and beauty from the location and what she has created. I didn't come for any holistic therapies but I ended up having two sessions and would highly recommend the 'Rain Drop' therapy, which I have to say is unlike anything I have ever experienced. It blew my little tiny welsh mind! This may sound cheesy but I found my stay there very magical and left feeling phenomenal. (There is something in the water up there, there really is!) I worked on my laptop, played guitar, meditated and soaked up all the goodness that the MMR had to offer(and all its energy). All I know is that I am glad I did not stay in a hotel on the coast and visiting Helen will now be an annual treat. I can't wait to come back in the early summer. Just got back from a one week stay at the Monda mountain retreat, and what a relaxing week it has been. The accommodation standard and location of the retreat are both excellent, and definitely deliver on the peacefull front. Fresh mountain air and stunning views out over the valley and hills beyond greet you every morning at sunrise, quite spectacular to be honest. The owner (Helen) is very helpfull and cheerfull at all times, and will also prepare you a special meal of your choice on request if a night in is your requirement. The nearby town of Monda is handily located and is a 10 minute drive away, or in my case a peacefull walk away. It has a unique unspoiled feel about it and has many interesting features to see. This all added up to a very relaxing and much needed break for me. If a hassle free getaway of the relaxing kind is what you need then this delivers and then some. Highly recommended.

Hemos estado 10 días en la cabaña de madera y tengo que decir q a sido de los mejores sitios que he estado. El entorno la casa la piscina todo oo es impresionante Helen es majisima y te da todas las comodidades para que pases unas vacaciones fantásticas. A 25 minutos de las mejores playas de marbella o mijas por ejemplo. Espero algún día volver esa paz y relajación es necesaria. Gracias por todo.
