This is a lovely place to stay! We were surrounded by greenary and all the wooden furniture in the room tells me that they took the time to piece everything together. The cafe (Smiling Buffalo) is a nice place for an all-day breakfast plus the coffee is really good too. Azmil and the gang are so helpful and our needs were always met (if not exceeded!). We will certainly return.

Panji Panji is my new favourite place in Langkawi. We stayed as a family of 4 in the villa which was spacious and very comfortable. It has been decked out stylishly and with good quality furniture. My children aged 8 and 9 shared the sofa bed which was a good size for them. The bed my husband and I shared was very comfortable with great pillows and good quality bedding. The room was cleaned well every day with plenty of fresh towels and clean sheets. The design of the villa is simply beautiful. There are stained glass window panels which let in a lovely light. The balcony is spacious and beautifully done. Surrounded by trees and nature, is was food for the soul after lockdown in a concrete condo in KL. We spotted hornbills and a giant Malayan squirrel from our balcony as well as various butterflies. The sound of birdsong throughout the day was simply lovely. We had our own private gate which really made it feel like we were in our own home. The swimming pool is perfect size for the kids, long enough to do some lengths and big enough for the kids to play in. The TV has Netflix and Youtube already set up, which was great for family movie nights or keeping the kids entertained when it rained. We had breakfast or lunch daily at the onsite cafe, Smiling Buffalo. The kids loved the mango waffles and fresh juices. I loved the smoked salmon or poached eggs in tomato. The coffee was delicious too. The staff here are wonderful. Smiling, friendly and ready to assist with anything. The have some old rickety bikes to borrow which me and my daughter did a few times, exploring the nearby paths around the local kampung. Panji Panji is within walking distance of Pantai Cenang but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. At the end of the road, 5 mins walk is Tubotel and their brilliant restaurant Tapaz which I would also highly recommend for nearby food and drinks. We will never forget our stay at Panji Panji - we stayed for 28 nights, a new record for this place. Many of our friends visited who were staying in other nearby accommodation and they were all jealous of our find! Thank you so much to Azmil and his crew for everything, you made it a summer to remember.

Super tolle Unterkunft. Tolle Zimmer. Toller Pool. Super Host und Personal, egal ob im Cafe, Zimmerservice etc. Sehr zuvorkommend! Leider mussten wir nach einer Woche in ein anderes Hotel umziehen, da Panji Panji ausgebucht war. Schade. Wir können es voll und ganz weiterempfehlen. Auch das Smiling Buffalo (Cafe) ist sehr zu empfehlen! Dies kann auch ohne Unterkunft sehr gerne besucht werden. TOP Essen und TOP WLAN. Der Host organisiert einem sehr gerne sämtliche Aktivitäten usw. Es wird einem förmlich jeder Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen. Nachts ist auch immer ein Bewacher da. Hier fühlt man sich super sicher!

Un grand merci à Izmal et son équipe qui ont été au top. Le petit-déjeuner et le repas sont frais et délicieux. Tout est fait à la minute. Un havre de paix j'y retournerai avec plaisir.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Panji Panji for 6 amazing nights, it was everything we had hoped for and more. Amazing surroundings with a tropical atmosphere, the rooms are cozy and the small restaurant Smiling Bufallo inside the resort is lovely and provides an amazing free breakfast each day - banana pancakes are a winner and the coffee is great. The location is far enough away from the madness and chaos of Chenang to be peaceful and quiet when you want it, while also being close enough to allow you to walk for 20 mins or get a Grab (the local Uber) into the centre for about 7rm and a 5 minute drive. There is a restaurant which is a 5 min walk from the resort towards the beach which does amazing fish and local food for very cheap - it was easily the best meal we had on Langkawi. You will also be able to get a grab to any of the numerous attractions and beaches around the island within 30 mins by Grab - the resorts owner Azmil gave us some brilliant recommendations and each of them is worth looking into. We loved the Night Safari Mangrove Tour, where a small bus will pick you up from the resort. Speaking of Azmil, he is a fantastic host and takes a special hands-on approach to tailoring his guests experience and making sure they get the most out of their stay at Panji Panji. He is always just a WhatsApp message away and will provide practically anything you may need during your stay, from beach and attraction recommendations, ordering take away food, and even arranging a laundry service for us. He really made our stay feel special. The rest of the staff do an amazing job and offer amazing service at the restaurant, keeping the resort clean, and making sure to assist you with anything you may need during your stay. Overall I cant recommend Panji Panji enough, it made our trip very memorable and we hope to visit again in the future.

We had the most amazing stay at Panji Panji. It’s far enough away from all the busy locations so is lovely and peaceful, especially when you want to relax by the pool for the day. Grab taxis are cheap (RM 5-7) to take you into Pantai Cenang and are really quick. The rooms are lovely and spacious with both air con and a fan. Breakfast was great and relaxed with plenty of choices and it’s all made fresh when you order. Myself and my partner are already looking forward to going back at some point in the future.

Meteen bij aankomst hadden we al een goed gevoel! Azmil verwelkomde ons zeer gastvrij en omdat wij (helaas) de hele dag in het ziekenhuis hadden gezeten ook zeer behulpzaam. Een prachtige kamer (bovenverdieping) met een geweldig bed en hele mooie badkamer en daarnaast een prachtig eigen balkon. Het ontbijt is hemels en de beste koffie van heel Maleisië. Daarnaast is het personeel ontzettend aardig en gastvriendelijk! Doordat je fietsen kan lenen van het hotel ben je ook overal zo! Het strand en heerlijke restaurants zijn dichtbij. Als je een tour wilt boeken helpt Azmil ook heel graag. Wij vonden het een fantastisch verblijf en zouden het iedereen aanraden. Thank you so much Azmil for the stay, we would like to come back any time!!

Panji Panji zou ik aan iedereen aanbevelen. Azmil, de beheerder, is super vriendelijk en helpt je overal bij. Hij hielp ons met bellen voor resorts, auto huren, regelde alles wat we maar vroegen. Al het personeel is trouwens zeer vriendelijk. Het is er schoon, alles wordt heel goed onderhouden, ook het zwembad. Elke dag wordt je kamer schoongemaakt en krijg je schone handdoeken, badlakens en nieuwe waterflesjes. Het resort is heel leuk opgezet, huisjes zijn super mooi. Groot balkon waar je privé kan zitten, de bedden zijn groot en slapen heerlijk, douche fantastisch (heel groot en altijd warm water). Alles is heel luxe. Het ontbijt is nergens zo lekker, da's echt waar. Je hebt veel keus, alles wordt vers voor je gemaakt en je mag zelf weten wanneer je komt (tot 18 uur). Er zijn genoeg fietsen voor iedereen die je mag gebruiken, ideaal. Je kan naar de stad of naar t strand wandelen of fietsen. Wasmachine mag je gebruiken. Airco overal (ook op t terras van t huisje). Wij waren er met z n vijfen (2 volwassenen en 3 kids van 15, 13 en 6 jaar). Iedereen vond t fantastisch. Echt een plek om nooit te vergeten! Loved it!! Thanks for everything Azmil!

Our four-night stay at Panji Panji was just brilliant. Everything from the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff to the quantity and quality of food, the comfort and decor of the rooms and the place itself. The staff were super friendly and made us feel so welcomed. Myself and my partner are vegan and were more than happy to just be served with some fruit for breakfast, but Panji Panji organised the most delicious vegan waffles and pancakes, gorgeous coffees with a choice of plant milks, fruit and a fruit juice each day for us. The accommodation is about a 10-minute walk to the beach and is right next to the fisherman's river. There is wildlife and nature EVERYWHERE, which really made it for us. The setting and decor of the place is beautifully designed- so many plants, trees, vintage cars and wooden decor. It was so relaxing and the rooms were very clean. The HUGE bed was made every day and we were provided fresh bath and beach towels daily (perhaps the only downside from an environmental point of view)! The pool area was just as lovely and it was nice to have a quieter option of cooling off rather than the beach. We could also use the vintage bicycles when we wanted (and were given locks and headlights). I would definitely recommend this place and would definitely stay here again if we ever return to lovely Langkawi.

We cannot recommend Panji Panji enough. We have just returned from our second stay there and it more than lived up to our expectations. We stayed in the villa - spacious and very well appointed, the accommodation is exactly as pictured on the website. A huge and comfortable bed with lovely linen, huge bathroom, with a shower and a bath and a very spacious balcony area with plenty of choice of seating to kick back, read and enjoy a cool drink. The breakfast was very tasty, with a great choice off the A' la carte menu. Our favourite was smoked salmon and scrambled egg on toast. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, walking distance from Chenang. Close enough to use all the bars and restaurants, far enough away to not have any hustle and bustle. Azmil the manager, as before was a star, sorting out all our tours and hire car. The companies he uses are local and provide great services. If you are looking for a quiet get away with a spot of luxury and quirkiness Panji Panji is the place. We would recommend it for couples and families alike.
