I booked the townhouse with the owner around the beginning of the year, and from day 1, the owners were very accommodating.
The photo's sold the house to me but also the price for a week in the middle of July was very reasonable.
On arrival, we were met by Chris who looks after the house along with his wife, and they were both lovely. They only lived up the road, so if anything was to happen, we knew they wouldn't be far away.
The house was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated and I would definitely stay here again if I visited this part of Spain with a small group.
As the house is situated in a complex off the main road, I would recommend hiring a car, as the shops are about a 5-10 minute drive, but even though close by car, there isn't any possibility of walking to the shops, as the road is too dangerous.
The closest beach is about a 20 minute walk from the house but you will need to walk over the bridge, as the beach is on the other side of the busy road. Although pebbly, it is still a lovely beach and definitely worth a visit, and especially the beach hut. One tip for fish lovers, ask if they are serving BBQ fish, if so, definitely give it a go. The guys catch the fish in the morning, and then BBQ them at lunch. The sea bream and prawns were amazing!!
All in all, this house is in a great location (if you have a car) with Sotogrande, Sabinillas, Estepona & Duqesa being within a 20 minute (or less) car journey away, it has lovely views of Morocco and Gibraltar (on a clear day) and the owners are probably the nicest I have ever dealt with.
