Mermaid is a modern home situated 8 minutes walk from the beautiful beach of Freshwater East. It was externally refurbished in 2019 with new coloured wall cladding, insulation and a new roof. The home provides a modern bathroom incorporating a walk in shower. The lounge/kitchen/diner opens at the rear onto an area of lawn and woodland where a range of wildlife can be observed. There is also a small herb garden and roses in front of Mermaid. Free wifi, a ready to stream TV and Blu Ray/DVD player are available. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric cooker, fridge and microwave. Heating and electricity are included in the rental price. Duvets and pillows are supplied, please bring your own bed linen, duvet covers and towels. A folding bed is available for a fifth person to sleep in...

Enjoyable break in Freshwater East

Lovely accommodation. Everything you need is there to have an enjoyable break. Excellent setting and well placed for visiting Tenby, Saundersfoot and Bosheston, etc. Enjoyed it so much, we will return.

Excellent value for money

Our third stay at Freshwater East but 1st in Mermaid. Fantastic location, very close to the beach and a great vase for exploring the local area. The owners were very responsive and really helpful. Well equipped, really clean chalet. Fantastic spot for wildlife too.

I am pleased you enjoyed your stay and found Mermaid to be clean and well equipped. The opportunity to view wildlife at the back of the chalet in the woodland is a plus which most chalets at Trewent Park do not offer. .

Beautiful, clean perfect for couple

Beautifully clean, warm just want was wanted.. we went in January it was very wet and muddy could of done with a outdoor boot box as unintentionally bought mud in through front door . Found cleaning products thank goodness . So perfect x Thank you

Thank you for your comments. We have had plenty of rain in recent times and have a plastic mat for muddy footwear just inside the front door. I will consider the suggestion of an outdoor storage box. Your review shows that a mid winter visit to Pembrokeshire can be enjoyable given suitable accommodation such as Mermaid..

A perfect place for a perfect holiday

Mermaid Beach home is a perfect place to have a great holiday. It is ideally located, only a five-minute walk from the beach. The house is so comfortable with everything you could ask for whilst on holiday. Especially the kitchen is extraordinarily well equipped, the beds are all super comfy and the allocated parking space is almost directly in front of the door. You can tell how much passion and attention to detail the hosts have put into this place – little mermaids decorating all rooms and lots of additional beach accessories that come in handy. Peter and Ian are fantastic hosts, always available and extremely helpful with the booking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mermaid and would absolutely recommend it to our friends.

We try to provide all the kitchen equipment that anyone could need when on holiday although the on site cafe/restaurant (Jacks) provides excellent meals. I hope you are able to return one day. Peter

Peaceful and close to the sea

Clean, quiet and an excellent base for a week by the sea. We have stayed in two other Trewent Park chalets, and this was the best. Beautiful setting with woodland behind. Very helpful owners

Best accommodation

Hi we Family stayed in this accommodation for 3 nights. This was the cheapest available and we were worried whether its good enough to stay with Family. My wife was concerned about it. But when we came to it, it was absolutely amazing.. and very close to beach. Only thing you have to take Towels and Bed sheets and duvets cover..

Thanks for your feedback. Yes, Mermaid is only a short walk to a beautiful sandy beach. We aim to provide excellent value and to keep prices as low as possible we ask guests to bring their bedding (duvet covers/ sheets/pillow cases) and towels with them. We hope this does not prove to a problem for our guests virtually all of whom arrive by car.

Perfect!

I was able to get off the merry go round of a busy life and completely relax during my week at Mermaid. I truly love coming here, Peter and Ian keep the apartment in excellent condition. The new double bed was so comfy I didn't want to leave! I'll be back. Jx

Outstanding as usual owner Peter is one in a million caters for everyone been back there a few times to stay always spotless highly recommended even the jacks longhouse pub is Outstanding nigel and staff Outstanding and so welcoming and nothing is to much trouble i would highly recommended everything

A limited Coastal Cruiser bus service passes close to the house which provides a direct service to Lamphey and Pembroke in the late morning returning mid afternoon.
