This property over looks a major junction and the traffic noise is constant 24hrs a day, the road surface on the hill down to the 3 way junction doesn’t help. The house was not as clean as it could be considering we stayed there during the pandemic and we found dirty linen in the linen cupboard. When we email / text the owner he wasn’t interested. He also asked if the cleaner could come in the day before we left to clean due to the fast turn around , we declined. However we left a few days early. Parking also an issue

More than expected!
We spent a great week in Bas’s impressive house.
No need to repeat the previous positive comments about this house and the local area which are absolutely accurate.
Unique to this property which was particularly appreciated, was the plentiful supply of additional extras.
There was more than sufficient supply of cleaning products, fuel for the heating stove as well as additional linen if required.
Also, whoever cleans the house doesn’t simply take away or throw out any food the previous guests have left so the availability of a selection of basic kitchen cupboard ingredients as well as fresh milk, eggs, butter etc was very welcome.
It’s really great that we didn’t have to start from scratch and this encouraged us to leave some foodstuffs for the next guests.
(Bas, I’m sure you appreciate your cleaner but make sure you hang on to her!)
I’d recommend having a look at the book Bas has left in the house which documents the transformation of the house from a ruin into the current lovely house. Very impressive and I’m very jealous!
Altogether an outstanding holiday property.

Cute and characterful cottage
Lovely location overlooking the river. There is some traffic noise from the nearby bridge but this did not detract too much. The cottage has been kitted out with thought and sympathy to the property’s age. There was a drainage issue which was fixed by the owner Bas with speed and good grace. Well recommended for a couples break.

Localización guapísima y casa con vistas preciosas
La casa es preciosa, la localización es ideal y la terraza con unas vistas impresionantes.
Tener en cuenta que a pesar de que el anuncio pone dos habitaciones en realidad es una habitación arriba y sofa cama en el salon todo en open space, para dos parejas tal vez les falta intimidad porque no existen puertas y un único wc.
Bas es muy simpatico y atento, siempre contestaba mis cuestiones.

Great views, great home, great location!
My family staid here for a week in beginning November and we had a fantastic time. Not only a great house to enjoy the views over the valley from the terrace, Odemira is also a small but lively town where you can get everything you need and explore the area from. Amazing beaches and countryside right around you, friendly people and nice food made our time memorable!

Absolutely perfect
This charming, beautiful, clean and cosy house reaches at 100 % a perfect place to be ! You have your full privacy with a beautiful view over the river from the terrace full of sunshine and if you do not enjoy a drink watching the sun go down from it - you are only a short walk through the nice village away from very good restaurants. Bas is more than a friendly person - he provides all important information about the house and the village in a guide - such a pity that we did t had the opportunity to meet him in person - take a look at the book of the reconstruction he did all by himself - you can even breathe the soul of love he has put for the reconstruction of this place - a yes a supermarket is 2 min by car and the best beaches are 20 min by car - great go there and relax ! Thank you Bas for the nice time we spent in your house.

Stunning views over the river
Spacious house with a great decking area with views over the river.
Odemira is a lovely unspoilt town that has easy access to a number of fabulous nearby beaches, towns and local attractions.
The house was very clean and an ideal base to explore the nearby area.

Fanastic house with great view
We stayed in Odemira at the property for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. Very central location for the all the local attractions and fantastic house. To have your own house, with 2 gardens, overlooking the river was such a nice change from hotels. Really hassle free and Bas was really helpful with everything. Might come back next year!

Beautiful house in the charming town of Odemira
"After a few days at the beach in the algarve, Casa Boakoster was a taste of 'real' Portugal. The balcony offers the ideal location to enjoy a sundowner - without a doubt is the best location in the beautiful town of Odemira. Having explored many areas in Portugal, this is a firm favourite with plenty of things to see and do in the region. Can't wait to visit again in the future.."

Amazing place!
Highly recommended! I had an amazing few days at Bastian's villa. The house is absolutely classic and charming, but he kept it simple enough to still feel modern and clean. He clearly has an eye for functionality and design. I was far more than comfortable, I was able to relax by the garden, or curl up on the couch with a view out of the large glass doors. Odemira is a charming town, and I enjoyed walking through the cobble stoned streets, meeting his friendly neighbors, as well as jogging through the countryside. The view over the river is gorgeous, and I spent evenings on the deck with the sun setting over it, watching the goats traverse corn fields and families of ducks paddle by. Bastian was able to direct me to some really nice beaches, which I drove to for quick dips and afternoon naps. There is also some beautiful hiking throughout the area. I will certainly return again, and my mother has already booked a bird watching get away with friends as well! My stay was both peaceful and fun. Perfect for families, girl trips, or romantic getaways. You have to check it out!!
