We travelled to Brittany as a family of 4 and stayed at this beautiful cottage in the heart of Côtes-d'Armor. We took bikes with us to be able to travel around using some of the fantastic cycle ways that have been developed and take you between the villages and sights without too much effort, mind you there are one or two hills to contend with to get to the cycle ways that make you earn your Ice Cream or Crêpe on your journey. Brittany can be known for a little inclement weather at times and Triton Cottage has that covered with a fabulous games room with table tennis, table football and a pool table that kept our boys busy, even though the weather was lovely during our stay. The Cottage is beautiful outside and inside, with a master bedroom to rival most accommodations you will stay in. There is a large family space with good cooking facilities and plenty of space for evening games and maybe watching a film from the extensive DVD library. The owners are lovely people, more than happy to spend time to make you feel very welcome. This is a gem of a find and we will most definitely return if we are headed to this part of Brittany again.

Triton Cottage is tucked away down a quiet lane in a very pretty small hamlet. The owners who live next door could not be nicer people or make you feel more welcome. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Great shower, washing machine, kitchen and a fabulous log burner to cosy up next to at night. The cottage sits in beautifully tended gardens which we really enjoyed relaxing in in the evening sun with a glass of wine. So much to do and see locally. I travel ALOT and really cannot recommend a stay here highly enough.

Owners Lorna and Ian were extremely friendly and welcoming. The cottage is stunning inside and out. We were with our two teenage boys and dog. The location is about as central Brittany as possible and so there was ample opportunity for day tripping and also great walking around the area. Were lucky enough to get to see the amazing light show at Abbaye Bon Repos. Lake area also beautiful. Gouraec village is nearby, is very pretty, with a good shop and we also frequented the Le Bout de Pont restaurant which is very good and reasonably priced. Hoping to visit again next year.

Jenny and I and 3 children (ages 11,10,8) and 'Sadie' the dog very much enjoyed our time at Triton Cottage, Laniscat, Brittany. Excellent standard of accomodation. Our hosts were welcoming put not imposing, helpfull with tips of advice on sites to visit. Spacious beautifull garden ideal for games with chidren with gamesroom laid on. All local areas of interest 10 mins away, beautifull safe lakeside beaches, kayaking, canoeing, water ski-ing and indoor swimming pool. Boulangeries and restaurants all available locally. Perfect setting in Brittany countryside for running or walking.

Triton Cottage is an excellent base to explore Brittany. It has all the amenities you would require and helpful but not intrusive hosts next door. The nearby Lac de Guerledan was a great favourite for us and our two dogs offering good walking and water sport activities. We came via Roscoff which allowed a 90 minute drive to the cottage. We've been to Brittany before having come through the Tunnel and it's a long drive. Many thanks to Ian and Lorna especially in sorting out the vet's appointment for the return to the UK.

We stayed at Triton Cottage last year for 1 week, we loved it so much we booked for 2 weeks this time. The area is wonderful not far from the Nantes/ Brest canal and lac de Guerledan. We found the cottage very clean and comfortable. also love that we are able to take our dog Ollie too as he really enjoys all the walks in the area. The weather was kind to us and the autumn colours were stunning. Lorna and Ian are wonderful hosts with lots of local information and places to visit. We hope to stay again in 2017.

Lovely stone gite with large light main room. Owners live next door but this was not intrusive. Good size guest lawn with chairs/loungers. Great cycling area as much flatish (canal and back roads around local village) but some hills if you want them. Two nearby villages with bakery and small grocery shop. One village with two resturants, locals use them and they are not expensive. Good local indoor swimming pool. For a bigger and better choice of restuarants you need to drive 10 mins to town.

Terrible and that's being polite. Broken bed, dirty cups and surfaces, fleas yes fleas, TV that did not work half the time, showers that did not work when another tap was running. Cooker with no markings to tell you how to operate. Washing line that actually made the clothes dirtier ( yes really!! ) Not enough glasses for a family of five and glasses that were chipped and damaged. Outside sitting area with broken and dirty chairs. No soap of any cleaning equipment to provide basic hygiene. Outside play area with table tennis table in the middle of a sandy dusty shed, just great for someone's health! The local area is okay but no much to do with older kids, if you were to go take a dog, walking boots and a bike. Local restaurants were also very poor with the pizza restaurant in nearby Gouarec very poor with cold expensive pizzas. We have holidayed in France for 17 years and this has to be the worst place ever. The BBQ was good though as was the hoover!!! Enough said!!!

We stayed together in this pretty part of Brittany. It is away from the humdrum and totally surrounded by farming. You see more farm animals than people. The boulangerie was just perfect and made excellent bread and pastries. We travelled to all areas of Brittany from here and the routes are well laid out. The owners are close by and always able to offer excellent destinations - walks, restaurants, beaches and towns. They are a fountain of knowledge locally. Mix in with cycling and canoeing we came back fitter. It is a longer drive than we thought from the tunnel so consideration to take a ferry to St Malo may be a good choice.

We spent a week at Triton Cottage from 16th April to 23rd April. This cottage is in Central Brittany and is extremely well situated to travel around, approximately 1 hour from the northern, southern and western beaches. Top class accommodation and the owners, Lorna and Ian, couldn't have been more helpful. Go visit them and have a great time!
