Classy villa close to an authentic French village
This was a mix of holiday / work and the 4 of us were able to do video calls without internet problems. The villa is beautiful and very well equipped, with a great pool and patio area. We had great weather so the BBQ and A/C were appreciated. Fitou is a 10 minute walk and has several really good restaurants and wineries - one of which also has links to Restaurant Lou Courtal des Vidals, providing excellent cooked meals in foil trays to take back to the villa. The town has a free tennis court to combat the excellent food & wine of the area!

Covid 19 escape to the sunshine
A spacious, comfortable and well equipped villa overlooking the quaint village of Fitou. Plenty of room for up to 10 people to be comfortable. Spectacular sea views from the upstairs balcony. Excellent location in a beautiful and less discovered part of France. Helpful and responsive owner and pleasant local key holders on hand in case of problems - of which there were few. We were 7 adults and 2 children (4&1) and we had a great 2 weeks.

We keep coming back!
Love this villa. All the facilities you would need for a perfect stay. Cleaned to a very high standard. My son particularly liked the racing cars in his bedroom. Parking is easy and there is a small supermarket within a short drive. The pool is such an asset to this property, especially in the hot summer months. Thank you, I'm sure we will be back once again!

Beautiful Villa
Spent a wonderful and relaxing 2 weeks in this villa last year and have just booked to return again this summer. The villa is modern, spacious and very well equipped and with internet and satellite it fully met the needs of our teenagers. The outdoor area with pool is beautiful, well maintained and private. The location is within walking distance of the lovely village of Fitou, and a short drive to the beaches and many other attractions. Communication with the owner Julie has been prompt, easy and helpful. We would highly recommend this villa and are looking forward to our next visit!

We will be back .....
We have just returned from a fantastic holiday in Fitou, staying in this lovely and comfortable villa. I agree with other reviewers, the pictures do not do the property justice. It is spacious with a very high finish throughout maintaining a very homely feel. Our party consisted of 2 families with 4 kids (6,6,2 and 2), they loved it. As for the area, well it's a really special region of France. The location is perfect for day trips to the regions finest attractions (Carcassonne, Collioure, Gruissan etc ....) and equally relaxing staying local. Fitou, and nearby Leucate Village are charming and the local beaches are lovely, unspoilt and crowd free. There is as much or as little to do here as you'd like. We will certainly be coming back to the area and hopefully to this villa again.

Relaxing holiday in a lovely villa.
We enjoyed every aspect of our stay here.The villa is light, airy and spacious. It was immaculately clean, comfortable, everything worked and there are beautiful views from the upstairs terrace. The garden is very attractive. We loved having four bathrooms. The booking process was easy and efficient. We were confident that if there had been a problem, Ian, the very pleasant property manager who lives nearby, would have quickly sorted it out. The newly installed wi-fi was very dependable. With the restaurants in the village and the beach not too far away we didn't need to travel very far from the house - besides, the garden and pool were too good to leave for long! There are also some lovely walks in the hills behind the villa. The heated pool was the icing on the cake as we could swim on the couple of cooler days too. Even my 85 year old mum went in. We would have no hesitation in recommending this villa and we would love to return.

Beautiful villa in a beautiful area
We found our stay at the villa to the perfect family holiday ! A great villa with a lovely pool and gardens.
This is our third visit and once again I would recommend it to anyone thinking of renting a villa. We are a family of four and it is very spacious indeed, the two boys loved the garden and the pool so much that it gave us time to relax. The villa is immaculate and very big with all the appliances and essentials that you would expect from a high end property. It also has a very nice private balcony from which you can see for miles.... A short drive to the huge white sandy beaches and the old town is lovely. The supermarket down the road has enough should you not want to go too far... We arrived from perpignan airport and was easy to find.

Great for kids and wine lovers
We had a superb 11 day stay in Fitou. Everything was as expected when we arrived - the property has everything you would expect and more when travelling with young children - in our case a 10 month old as well as 2 1/2 year old twins. The car beds were a huge hit with the twins!! The village of Fitou is also really nice - there are over 10 wines caves selling high quality local Fitou. There are also some excellent restaurants - would recommend Vidals if you are taking the kids. Outside of Fitou, Perpingan, Narbonne and Carcossone are all realistic day trip options and the resort of Leucate is also good for a more traditional seaside ambience. The villa itself made our holiday as the weather was not great during our stay. Having the extra comfort provided but this property took the edge of the grey skies for us!

Immaculate Villa, great for a relaxing holiday
We stayed in July 2011 in a goup of nine aged between 1 and 70. We were welcomed on arrival by a resident of the village who gave us a tour of the property and was extremely helpful with advice about shops, day trips and places to eat. The owners have gone to great efforts equipping the modern and spacious Villa to make the stay comfortable and relaxing. The two en-suite bedrooms are significantly larger than the other two bedrooms making the Villa ideal for four adults and four kids. Our party of six adults, two kids and one infant meant the bedrooms were at capacity however there was no real pressure on the four bathrooms or the large living areas and everyone enjoyed our stay. A car is essential for visits to the beach, markets or recommended day trips but numerous wine caves (2.2 euros a litre straight from the vat!) and several restaurants can be reached on foot.
