Very comfortable and restful stay
We stayed for a week, split between Casa Carmen and Casa Antonio, two of the villas forming 'Tres Villas.com', and owned by Tony and Debby B.
We had a lovely break in very comfortable, well designed accommodation, that has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard. All facilities are provided in both villas, and the owners Tony and Debby are very welcoming and friendly.
Alajar is a delightful truly Spanish village, unspoilt by tourism, although it is a popular weekend destination for visitors from Seville.
We had a lovely walk up to the Pena overlooking the village on Sunday, followed by delicious pizzas in La Placita in one of the town squares. An added bonus was a live flamenco duo playing and singing at lunch time for guests, a truly Spanish experience.

Delightful house and setting
We had a great holiday in Casa Carmen. Set on 3 floors, the two downstairs bedrooms were just paces from the pool, while the 2 top floor bedrooms had wonderful views across the cork oak forest of the national park. The whole of the middle floor was a fantastic airy and light open plan space, consisting of a combined kitchen, diner and lounge with a large terrace where we spent many happy hours.
Alajar is a lovely little Andalucian whitewashed village, very non-touristy but with some nice restaurants and bars together with a few family shops which could cater for most of our needs.
There are numerous lovely and interesting places and villages to visit by car, but we particularly found the many well marked walking trails of various lengths and difficulties an absolute delight.
Tony and Debbie,the lovely owners,have obviously spared no effort in transforming Casa Carmen into a brilliantly designed and luxurious home.
We will definitely return!

Fabulous holiday at Casa Carmen
Casa Carmen is in Alajar, a picturesque Andalusian village of white painted terraced houses along small windy cobbled streets situated in the Sierra de Arecena. About 1 hour and a half from Seville by car. The house is spacious and modern inside with all facilities. It is pristine and beautifully decorated. Designed for winter and summer occupation, there are indoor seating areas and lounges on 2 floors, a terrace on the ground floor with a shower and a small refreshing pool. Both upper floors have spacious balconies or lounging and enjoying the views of the steep side of the valley opposite. They are many beautiful walks around and a few bars and restaurants in the village . It is very quiet but you may be woken up to the sound of the cockerel nearby! The British owners, a couple who have renovated 3 adjoining houses are so friendly and helpful.
