Holiday in Sun
We enjoyed our stay in Livia’s apartment in Lido do Noto. The apartment is located on the beachfront with easy access to beach. Livia is a great host and quickly responded to any queries we made.She really was concerned that we enjoyed our stay. It is well equipped with all that you would require for a holiday. On arrival on the Saturday afternoon we were met by Livia’s assistant who explained everything. One of our concerns was the music coming from the restaurant opposite it was very loud during weekends during the day until about 11.00 pm. The music did get better for the rest of our stay but that maybe due to the September end of season so cannot comment about the rest of year. This did spoil our first impression of what is a great location. The beach does get busy at weekends and is great to watch from the balcony! The location is not far from Noto but a hire car is necessary to visit supermarkets and attractions. We loved Syracuse with its history and wonderful market. We would visit Sicily again

Wonderful sea view Christmas in Sicily.
The location is perfect as it is on the beach and the weather for December was great with highs of 16-20 degrees C every day. We were from Canada and used it as a base to see all the sites along the eastern and southern side of Sicily. A car is a must. The villa has all the amenities one could ask for. The kitchen is modern and has all the basics. Nice living room with views of the sea and openings from the living room and the Master bedroom to a nice patio overlooking the sea. Wonderful. The bedrooms were spacious and the bathroom was great. I was a little chilly at night, but we were provided with an electric and propane space heater and the air conditioner provided heat as well which was great. The only hiccups were that one needed to be cognizant of what electrics where on when the hot water was used as the electrics would trip out. The oranges that were provided as well as the bottle of wine were a nice touch. We didn't come here to watch TV which was good as it was all in Italian. The wireless internet was excellent. The wash machine took us a bit to figure out, but it worked fine and was handy to wash out clothes as we stayed 11 days. The towels were good and there was enough for everyone including beach towels if needed. All in a great place to rent. I would stay here again.

Wonderful modern and immaculate beachside house with great views of the sea.
This fully equipped beachside house is actually nicer than the pictures and description. The sea views are wonderful and the home is really on the beach.....you simply have to walk out the back gate a few steps to be on the sand. The owner is very accessible and happy to provide suggestions for touring, restaurants, etc. She is very conscientious in keeping the house and equipment in good repair. I would not hesitate to rent here again and would not change a thing. Late September - early October was a lovely time to visit as the sea is still warm for swimming but the crowds are significantly reduced from summer. Southeastern Sicily has many wonderful towns to visit, not least of all Noto.

Its all in the view!!
We stayed 9 days in this lovely bright, clean , very well equipped flat which is much nicer than it looks in the pictures. Livia is delightful and greeted us with a bottle of sicilian wine and a tray of delicious sicilian pastries which lasted us a week! Communications before and during the stay were great by email and text and she promptly and cheerfully sorted out some little issues we had that were caused by a major thunderstorm and powercut. However the crowning glory of this flat is the floor to ceiling windows in the living room and main bedroom leading onto a little terrace with a stunning uninterrupted sea view. The terrace is completely private and you get a wonderful view of the whole bay and beach. If you feel like it you can just pop out the back door and cross the prom and be on the sand and/or in the sea in less than a minute! Then shower off the sand in the outside shower! Out of season the town is very quiet although there are a few pizzerias and people were still swimming into early October. However it is very clean and it is lovely to be able to walk along the seaside which in Italy is so often obscured by rows of restaurants and bars. It is only 10 minutes by car away from Noto where there are lots of shops and restaurants.

A really great spot to explore the area. We spent 5 nights here, went for day trips and enjoyed the relaxed beach vibe. The busy tourist season was over so not too many people. Our hosts were great and when we had ant problems they sorted them. I would go again

Great family beach holiday
Holiday rating depends on what you want from your break. We wanted sea swimming and convenience and we got it during our week in Sunrise over the Sea. The pictures don't do justice to the apartment which is spacious, clean, and well-equipped, even to the point of a shelf-ful of novels in various European languages. The "disco" on Wednesday was ludicrously loud but we came back late and, with shutters down, got to sleep easily. Livia was lovely, generous and very helpful. Our week at her house was worry free. A great holiday.

Lovely beach front house
The house is lovely, it's spacious and very clean and I liked it a lot. It is well equipped with everything one might need, including a washing machine. When we arrived Daniela was there to meet us, she is lovely and gave a good explaination regarding the house and recycling. The owner Livia had left us a bottle of wine and some local cakes which was a lovely gesture. Car parking is easy, it's on the road to the back of the house. It gets a little bit busy on the weekend when locals and tourists alike head to the beach but during the week is much quieter. We ate breakfast on the balcony overlooking the sea every morning and this was lovely, then generally went out for a day of sight seeing. The beach is nice and very clean. Local people tend to tidy up after themselves and there is a beach cleaner that comes and picks anything else up. There are two restaurants nearby, Alta Maria is at the front is virtually on the beach, the food and service here is quite nice. Pizzeria Scirocco is to rear of the house and the food and service here is not good. Alta Maria can be noisy with music during the day but it's quiet in the morning and later in the night. We mostly ate out in Noto and used Livia's recommendations which are listed in the house and are very good. I have to say that I agree with Livia that restaurant Crocifissio is very good indeed, i would have liked to have tried Ristorante Manna but another time maybe. Noto is a 10 minute drive away and there is no public transport. There may be a bus in July and August so i would recommend to friends who dont mind driving. I absolutely loved this holiday. I used Lido as a base and visited Noto, Ragusa, Marzamemi, Syracuse, Etna and Taormina from here. Like i say I'm a mover so that might be a bit much for some. Each of these places was outstandingly beautiful.

Sehr zu empfehlen
Tolle Lage, direkt am Strand, sehr ansprechende Einrichtung, bequemes Bett, problemlose Buchung und sehr freundlicher Empfang. In der Küche könnten einige Utensilien mal ausgetauscht werden und leider lässt manchmal der Wasserdruck im Bad etwas nach. Aber die phantastische Sicht über das Meer entschädigt.

Eine wunderschöne Unterkunft! Wir wurden von Daniela, die dort absolut perfekt die Reinigung übernommen hatte, und Livia, der sehr freundlichen und charmanten Eigentümerin, wärmstens empfangen und wir fühlten uns sofort sehr wohl und bestens umsorgt mit Wein, Öl und süßen Leckereien. Vielen Dank dafür und wir würden gerne wieder kommen!!!

Les pieds dans l'eau
Superbe appartement en front de mer (30m de la mer, juste le temps de traverser la plage). L'appartement est décoré avec goût et sobriété. Tout est de qualité et il ne manque rien. Petites intentions de la propriétaire (gateau, vin sicilien et huile d'Olive) permettent de se sentir bien dans le début. Lido de Noto constitue une bonne base dans cette partie de la Sicile pour visiter la Sicile baroque, les vallées reculées et profiter pleinement des joies de la mer. Etape de 4 jours parfaites avec une propriétaire disponible.
