The Loft is a lovely flat in the village of Ohlungen, typical village in Alsace. It was the right size for us (2 couples and one teenager) and beautifully decorated. It is close to Haguenau, and half an hour from Strasbourg, and for us close to family in a nearby village. Thank you Marian for a lovely stress less stay.

What an absolute gem! I am so delighted that we chose this beautiful accommodation for our special Christmas holiday with our family. The gîte is exquisite: very spacious, absolutely pristine and so beautifully decorated! My mum-in-law and I kept on "oohing and aahing" at the beautiful decorations and finishing touches. We could not have been more comfortable - it was really heavenly! If you are traveling with children, Ohlungen Gîte is ideal: everything has been considered to make your stay as easy and comfortable as possible... so much so that my 4 year olds didn't want to leave the gîte as they were having so much fun playing with all the toys. Marian and Andrew are thee most incredible hosts who really went above and beyond any reasonable expectations to make our stay extra special. We were treated to Marian's incredible Christmas baking and special gluwhein and some exquisite treats upon arrival! It felt like we were coming to stay in a luxury hotel! Marian and Andrew were the perfect hosts: always around to offer help and advice if needed. One very embarrassing situation led Andrew to rescue my family and I from a nearby village on Christmas Eve when we weren't able to drive home! As terrible as I felt about disturbing them, they made me feel like I was no bother at all (which was definitely not the case!!) The village of Ohlungen is an absolute gem too! The bakery is heavenly and the beautiful farm shop supplied us with amazing vegetables and a scrumptious Christmas dinner! The locals are super friendly and kind and we had so much fun walking around the village peering into the various farms and crops. We had a lovely conversation with a lady who befriended us while we were drinking gluwhein in the village farm shop. The exquisite church is a must see! We were treated to Christmas mass in this beautiful building and it was really quite incredible. The stained glass windows and frescoes are beautiful! We are already planning a return trip to this gorgeous gîte!

Great gite for our family of six adults. Very comfortable, spacious and clean. There aren't that many choices in the Northern part of Alsace so we felt vert lucky to find such a great place. The village is very picturesque typical of this part of Alsace. And with a boulangerie just a short walk away! Marian was super welcome and accommodating to our hours.

The gite is beautiful and charming. It has a very peaceful atmosphere. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. There is even a toy box that is fully stocked with toys, that our kids loved. Marion is a very gracious host. She told us about many family friendly places to go on day trips that were great. She mentioned an animal park that we never would have known about if she didn't tell us about it. Highly recommend.

Der Empfang durch die Vermieterin war sehr herzlich und zuvorkommend. Wir fühlten uns gleich wie zu Hause. Die Wohnung ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und bot genügend Platz für uns sechs Erwachsene. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut und die Betten sind hervorragend. Alles war zu unserer größten Zufriedenheit. Herzlichen Dank an Marian und ihren Ehemann.

Estuvimos 7 días de Agosto en esta agradable y tranquila casa y nuestra estancia fue perfecta. La ubicación es muy buena para conocer esta bonita zona de la Alsacia. Pero para nosotros lo mejor de todo fue conocer a los anfitriones. Su calidez y exquisito trato no lo podremos olvidar. Os doy las gracias, Marian y família por habernos atendido con tanto cariño, por habernos presentado a vuestros amigos y vecinoos y por dejarnos compartir con vosotros momentos fantásticos.

We were here for the second time with our little son and another family-member and had a very comfortable stay in tihs well-equipped and charming gite. The landlady. is very nice and gave us any advise we needed. In case of food you can find in some minutes per feet a good bakery with little shop and in some minutes per car a big Auchan-Supermarket in Schweighouse sur Moder.

Wonderful accommodations !! We slept six very comfortabally, which included two young children. The surrounding areas was absolutely beautiful, the village was very quaint and friendly. The owners Marion and Andrew made us feel very at home and were very informative of sights, shopping, restaurants, and local activities. We would highly recommend this holiday rental.

Gite très agréable à la décoration soignée et actuelle. Rien ne manque et si jamais vous avez besoin de quoi que ce soit les propriétaires,- des gens adorables- sont très disponibles et prêts à vous faciliter votre séjour .L'espace du gîte est fort agréable, la cuisine / salle à manger pratique avec tout ce qu'il faut pour cuisiner. Beaucoup d'idées d'excursions dès votre arrivée. Le village est charmant et la région magnifique. Nous recommandons chaudement ce gîte avec mention spéciale pour les propriétaires. Notre séjour a été riche, reposant, en un mot excellent.

We recently spent 3 perfect nights in Marians beautiful gite in Ohlungen. We were so pleased we found this accommodation as although the photos are lovely, the actual gite is even better once you are there! If you are visiting the Alsace region and you want to hire a good quality and spotlessly clean gite, then we highly recommend Marians place! Our little girl loved the room off the lounge, it officially became her playroom area. We all slept very well on the comfortable beds with quality bedding. The village of Ohlungen is so quiet you cannot help but relax. All the surrounding properties are large and colourfully decorated, it has a real chocolate box feel to the village. Strasbourg was only a quick 25 minute drive and so worth a visit, try and take a boat trip along the Rhine if you can. They provide audio commentary through headphones in many languages and even have a childrens channel, our 7yr old daughter loved it and took many photos of the fabulous buildings along the river to show her school teacher. This gite is the perfect base to stay at while visiting the region. There is nothing that Marian hasnt thought of to make you stay a pleasant one. She is always on hand if you need advice on anything, but she also gives you privacy if thats what you require. We highly recommend Ohlungen Gite to all travellers who want quality accommodation at a reasonable price. Thank you so much Marian for all your kindness, you have a lovely family and it was a real pleasure to meet you all. If we are ever stopping over in northern France again we will not hesitate to return to you.
