This is a beautiful Villa with the most stunning views we'd ever seen. Everything was clean, and we had a wonderful week. The bbq was excellent, also the table seating outside was great. The roads are a but scary but well worth it. We paid £90 euros for the heated pool and I'd thoroughly recommend it, it was lovely any time of the day and night.
The only thing I would mention is, since we had to put toilet paper in a bin (and can't flush) there were no bags provided, other than one.
Also no kitchen roll and only one bin bag in the kitchen, or an extra cloth, or pan scrubber, so we left a large kitchen roll, also two rolls of bin bags.
So would suggest buying these things before you get to the Villa.
CP was very good, and will definitely book again with them.

Amazing holiday in a wonderful villa
The villa is lovely and the pool was brilliant! The directions we were provided with to get from the airport to villa were fantastic and easy to follow.
The drive leading to the villa when you first arrive with a full car load was a bit of a struggle, but you’ve got to expect that going into the mountains and you soon get to used the hill after a couple of trips out! The guy who met us when we arrived was lovely, friendly and so helpful, as was the pool man. The villa had everything we needed and it was lovely having the outside tables for lunches and BBQ’s. The children as well as the adults had lots of fun in the pool which we paid to be heated and was like walking into a warm bath! There are several restaurants close by which offered fantastic food service and stunning views! (Table Mountain just a 2 mins drive from the villa, Restaurante El Molino de los Abuelos and Mirador de La Axarquia in Comares) We were all very sad to leave and hope to revisit one day.

Great times in the Malaga mountains
We stayed at „Villa José 1“ with 4 adults and 4 children and had an excellent time at the beautiful and spacious house. We especially enjoyed the heated pool and the view across the Malaga mountains! José and his whole team were very helpful and anything we asked for was immediately taken care of. We felt very welcome and will definitely be back soon.

Vacaciones maravillosas!!!
Hemos estado 16 dias en Villa Jose 1, y han sido unas vacaciones inmejorables!!! La casa es mejor q en las fotos, tiene todo lo necesario para vivir y disfrutar de la estancia. Los colchones son comodísimos, la cocina completa y muy espaciosa, la zona exterior una pasada con la piscina climatizada y el agua muy calentita incluso por la noche te podias bañar. Pero lo mejor de todo los detalles y atenciones por parte de Jose Antonio, q ha sido un encanto y ha estado en todo momento pendiente de nosotros. Tb agradecer a su equipo y en especial a Justo, por su amabilidad y buen hacer como profesional. En fin, q lo recomendamos con creces y por supuesto q volveremos. Muchas gracias por todo. Nos hemos sentido como en casa

Perfectly relaxed
11 of us have just returned from one of the most relaxing holidays we have had. Jose 1 has the most amazing views and once you have negotiated the road up the mountain a few times it is definitely worth it. The villa was clean and well equipped with everything we needed - lots of bbqs watching the shooting stars in the evening and lots of splashing and sun bathing in the day time around the pool. Short walk to a v friendly local bar for meals out so no driving required, short drive into Comares for yet more amazing views and small but v well stocked supermarket. Booking the villa was very straight forward, all questions answered v quickly, best instructions from the airport we have had ( always a bonus not to get lost ) . Overall a great villa and we are already missing the views

Wonderful family holiday villa
Just had a wonderful week in this Villa, views to die for. Fabulous size pool, and BBQ area, lots of seating to enjoy the sun or shade. The road up to the villa is a bit scary the first time but soon got used to it. Comares is a lovely little town and nice places to eat, had some wonderful meals out. You definitely need a car. We were a family of 13 and their was plenty of room. Hired cots, which had proper mattress which was good.
For the price it was very good value for money, not luxury but wasn’t expecting it for the price, somethings a bit tired, but after all it is a holiday home, didn’t affect our holiday at all. Would recommend for a great relaxing, or family holiday. Will visit again!

In need of a little tlc
Location of this villa is great, the roads are quite twisty but then you are up in the hills.if you like to be out of the way this is the perfect location, the views are incredible. A sort trip down the road is Comares, beautiful.
The villa it self just needs a little tlc it was clean just tired looking ,

Villa José 1 is one of our most popular villas and so far this year it has been booked solid. At the end of each season we take the time of renew furnishings etc., and this, of course, will happen this year also and then it will be all spruced up for 2020!

Tired, old, and should be retired or upgraded
The pictures make this villa look lovely and clean...it wasn't. All surfaces were dusty and grimy. We had to wash everything we wanted to use. We discovered the kitchen floor was black with dirt when we wiped up a spill. The kitchen is lacking; no saucepans, not enough mugs, generally as if it's been stocked from a charity shop. The fridge freezer was way too small for a villa that supposedly can house eleven people. The bathroom fittings were rusty and the drains were blocked: any shower longer than three minutes and you were standing in three inches of water. When you were washing your hair, you had to stop the water running in order to let the basin drain. The separate "accommodation" below was the worst of the lot however. The main villa wasn't too bad once it was aired and cleaned. But the house down the driveway was terrible. Old sofas, old sheets from the seventies, beds that didn't just creak, they felt like they might break every time you moved. Broken locks on the bathroom window (and the same on the downstairs bathroom in the main villa) meaning security was an issue. The drain was blocked and the hot water was only enough for one and a half showers—an issue when that area was supposed to host five people. The caretaker did come out to fix the hot water issue, but the improvement was minimal and it was still not enough for two people to have showers. The drawers and beds smelled of damp, and we ended up lining the tops of the single beds with plastic bags before putting our clothes on them. A fridge in this house is essential but sadly lacking. Overall, we were very disappointed. The separate house needs a lot of work, and I wouldn't recommend anyone using it. The main villa is passable and the hot water there was fine. The outdoor area was pretty nice, and there was plenty of seating and sunbeds. The view is stunning, and the location is remote and quiet. Comares (a gorgeous little town) is ten minutes away, and the beach (at Torre del Mar, again, lovely) is fifty minutes away. The roads after the main highway are riddled with switchbacks, so if you get even a little car sick, you should take your pills in plenty of time! Watch out for the crazy dog below in the little hamlet of Los Venturos. It chases your car down the road after midnight!

Please see the review of 1 week before, for the same house. Obviously this client expects luxury for just over 100 euros per night. Maybe we should go down the luxury road, but then many could then never afford to visit this beautiful area. We cannot recommend this client to any other owners.

Perfect holiday!
We have just arrived back from a weeks stay at the lovely villa Jose 1. It was perfect. It had everything we needed. BBQ, dishwasher, washing machine etc. The villa is in a beautiful location with a short 5 minute walk down to a little bar/restaurant at the bottom of the village. There is a supermarket at the top of the village however we always got a taxi there rather than walking. The villa has WiFi which was great for our teenage guest! We paid extra to have the pool heated and it was lovely - like getting into a bath! All our guests had a great time and we wouldn’t hesitate to book this villa again. Thank you so much for letting us stay! X

Place for active relax
We spent two wonderfull weeks in the complex Jose 1 in Comares. The location in the mountains is unique, the views to the Mediterranean fascinating. For questions and requests an administrator is available around the clock. a restaurant with good food is within a five-minute walk, more restaurants can be found in Comares ( about 4 km ). We felt very comfortable in the clean and well kept area and would repeat this holydays at any time.
