Beautiful location and a lovely house. We would thoroughly recommend and enjoyed every aspect of our stay. There are many thoughtful touches at Owls Nest and we definitely hope to go again.

Lovely rural cosy getaway..
This is just an all round lovely, peaceful, secluded little piece of rural heaven! Very nicely finished with lots of cosy bits and pieces. Everything you need for your stay is provided, and there are plenty of books, DVDs and games too if it turns a bit rainy. If you get sunny weather the deck is great for sunbathing- very warm. Lovely views from the bench at the top. The bed is very comfy with good quality bedding. There’s plenty of space both inside and out in the loggia - great for dinner outside with nice lighting and the hot tub is a must- it’s quick to heat up and just fantastic under the stars. You won’t find a better place to recharge!

A truly magical country retreat
We’ve just returned from a two night stay at The Owls Nest Hideout and it was everything we had hoped for and more. The converted barn is beautiful, clean and very homey. Lucy the host has an amazing eye for interior design and the space has been organised perfectly. We especially loved the outdoor dining area where you can talk to three fluffy friends whilst enjoying a glass of wine and watch the birds gather for some evening food and chatter. The wood fired hot tub was amazing and 100% worth booking as an extra if you can. All in all a perfect stay and we will no doubt be returning at some point in the near future. Thank you Lucy for making our weekend so special. Will & Michelle

A lovely place for a relaxing break
This was our second visit to the Owls Nest Hideout and we will definitely be coming back. The location (with the views over the valley) and the house itself, provide everything you need for a relaxing break: from the big bath, comfy bed, sofas large enough to stretch out on, to the stove and the decor. The three sheep are great to have around and we enjoyed feeding them. It’s just a lovely place to be.
And when the sun came out we took advantage with a walk along the river to take in the beautiful scenery.
We’re looking forward to our next visit, probably when it’s warmer so we can enjoy the roof deck and outside dining space.

Cosy and romantic
My wife and I stayed at the Owls nest hideout for two nights. The property is gorgeous and has been lovingly converted to a high standard, It's location is perfect, nestled into the side of the valley with beautiful views and just the sound of the birds. Its also very private, no one overlooks you so we were glad we paid a little extra for the hot tub, Lucy had already fired it up for our arrival which was lovely, sitting out in it at night was amazing, looking at the stars and listening to the Owls hooting in the nearby woodland is something we will never forget.
The cottage it's self is amazing but it's all the small things and little touches that Lucy does that make it so much more.
I honestly couldn't fault our stay, in my opinion she's got the whole thing spot on.
If you like the outdoors, mother nature and a bit of luxury you'll love this place.

Amazing place
What an amazing place the owls nest hideout is. Very nice throughout. Sheep on site. Birdsong is amazing. Recommend the hot tub and we would definitely return here. Lucy is an amazing host and left some lovely touches to make our weekend special. Many thanks. Highly recommended. Mw.

An amazing place to stay
Stayed at this amazing cottage last weekend. The location is perfect, peaceful and quiet and surrounded by nature. Whilst in the wood fired hot tub one morning we counted 22 birds on the feeders. We heard woodpeckers in the morning and and owls in the evening. The close proximity of the three sheep and the opportunity to hand feed them was a fabulous experience.
The cottage has been refurbished to a very high standard. It was warm and cosy and very well kitted out with everything you could need.
There are lots of walks you can do from the cottage, including a fabulous one following the river to Tintern Abbey.
We will definitely be back and we look forward to staying during the different seasons.
It’s now known as our Happy Place. We experienced pure joy and contentment during our four day break.

Perfect Romantic Retreat
What a beautiful place to spend a spring week.
We had a wonderful minimoon at the Owls Nest, using it as a base for exploring the Wye Valley, Monmouthshire, and the Forest of Dean.
Beautifully presented, cosy, and very romantic - the wood fired hot tub is a real highlight and an absolute must. Perfect for two with lots of space.
The Whitebrook restaurant is very near and perfect for a special occasion. Tintern Parva vineyard just down the road was an unexpected surprise.
The icing on the cake were the three sheep who are so friendly and just love carrots.
Would completely recommend!

British Paradise
Owls Nest should come with a warning sign. A sign that reads: YOU WILL NOT WANT TO LEAVE! Owls Nest is a slice of British paradise, and i am not exaggerating when i say ive never felt more at peace anywhere in the world. Having breakfast with a band of friendly sheep a few meters away, the gorgeous Brockweir forests in the background, and thats before even mentioning the inside! Bathtub big enough to swim in, a bed you sink into and my favourite feature... the log fire. The owner Lucy was super friendly and always at the end of the phone, and the local village of Tintern gives you plenty to do if you can pry yourself away from the Hideout! Return trip already booked. The only downside is you will eventually have to leave. - Simon H.
