The house is fantastically beautiful. The view of the islands, both Saint John and Jost van Dyke, is spectacular. When you wake up, you look out over the ocean, and when you're having breakfast, and when you're in the pool, and when you're drinking a well-deserved beer, even when you're under the outdoor showers, you always look out over that magnificent ocean.
The beds are very comfortable, with mosquito nets. We didn't have any issues with mosquitoes, but it was still nice. There are two massive refrigerators with enough space for a whole week's worth of food and drink.
There's a Nespresso machine available for a nice coffee on the veranda. The dishwasher is also great.
The pool is wonderful, with a shallow area where you can sit and enjoy the sunset.
The drive up and down is very steep, but also fun and doable.
Pelican Peak is definitely recommended.

Beautiful property with absolutely stunning views
It's easy to know you are in for something special after reading all the great reviews, and once you arrive at The Pelican Peak you immediately know they are all so true. Yes it's a 'challenging' drive up the first time, but you get used to that and it's just how roads are on Tortola. It's a short drive up and so worth it as the views are just spectacular and the property is simply great. The attention to detail is fantastic and it feels like home right away.
The location is great, close to some great beaches, restaurants and close to taking a ferry for a day trip to Jost van Dyke which is really worthwhile. There are tons of recommendations for activities, food ect. provided by the owners which take real care of getting you all the ins and outs you may need during the stay.
Overall just echoing what many reviews already mentioned, The Pelican Peak is a very beautiful and special place with stunning views and fantastic hosts - thanks for a great stay!

Privacy, incredible ambience, comfortable accommodations, great communication with host and manager.
Our experience at Pelican PeaK this year was as wonderful as we remembered from our last trip in 2023. We enjoyed the breath-taking views of the ocean, ships, and islands from the shaded outdoor dining area. Since I enjoy cooking, I took advantage of the well equipped kitchen. Just like last year, the villa manager, Lynn was on hand to help us with all the prep details and to greet us at the villa upon arrival. We’ve already book a return to Pelican Peak next year.

A Dreamlike Stay at Pelican Peak, Tortola
As soon as we arrived at Pelican Peak Villa in Tortola, we knew we were in for something special. The journey to the villa was initially challenging, but the spectacular view from the villa made it all worthwhile. The villa itself was a sight to behold - it was beautifully maintained and the attention to detail clearly showed the effort put into its upkeep.
Lynn, the villa manager, provided outstanding service. She was extremely attentive, making sure our stay was comfortable and stress-free. Her extensive knowledge of the area and readiness to assist with anything we needed greatly enhanced our vacation experience.
The beaches nearby, especially Smugglers Cove, were simply paradise. Patricia at the beach bar added to the charm with pristine sands and crystal-clear waters.
We also explored the local area. Hiking in Sage Mountain National Park was a fantastic experience, despite it being a small park, it was definitely worth visiting. The trails offered stunning views and a glimpse into Tortola's rainforest. Dining at Long Bay Resort was a memorable experience, offering delicious cuisine in an exquisite setting.
In summary, Pelican Peak is an ideal choice for anyone seeking a peaceful and luxurious getaway. The combination of a stunning villa, exceptional service, and the breathtaking views make for a vacation we'll always remember. Highly recommended!

Perching at Pelican Peak Villa
Pelican Peak is a slightly modern version of a classic Caribbean home. Two buildings, heavily shuttered windows, French doors everywhere, lots of tropical hardwood trim and heavily beamed woodwork that's purposefully exposed and beautifully executed, wide verandas facing out over an unimaginably beautiful view of Jost van Dyke. The surrounding mountainous landscape closes in and envelopes the place. A small infinity pool between the guest and main houses is perfect.
The road up is unbelievably scary but after a few drives it becomes second nature. Soon you'll discover all the roads in Tortola are scary. Mind the owner's advice on car rentals.
Plenty of room for everyone. Table on the veranda sits 10 comfortably. Well-appointed kitchen with everything needed to cook in.
Don't plan on sleeping in, the roosters on the mountainside below see to that every morning.

Amazing villa with unparalleled views
Our stay at Pelican Peak was great. We were there for 6 nights in early December which was an amazing time of year to visit Tortola. The home was very clean upon arrival and was cleaned halfway through our stay.
The villa had everything you need for a trip — plenty of beach towels, beach chairs, a well stocked kitchen (pots, pans, knives, filtered water, paper towels, etc.). The outdoor showers were incredible. We had a few people working remotely for part of the week. The Wifi worked perfectly.
There are a few switchbacks to get up to the villa but the view makes it worth it. A 4WD car makes it a breeze.

Best vacation ever!!!
Wonderful house that fit our needs and met expectations perfectly. The property manager Lynn was beyond helpful for on the island assistance and the property owner was excellent to work with even being in the Netherlands. Can't recommend a stay here enough - house was clean, view is unbelievable, beds were very comfortable, pool was excellent. Perfect accomodations for an awesome trip to the island!

Pelican Peak Villa is paradise!
We had a week in paradise when we vacationed at Pelican Peak Villa. The house was well appointed with everything we needed for a terrific and comfortable stay.
The views from every room were absolutely breath taking.
The house management team, Lynne and Bertha did a fabulous job guiding/handling us with some unexpected travel issues we had prior to arrival.
