This cottage feels like a home away from home! It was clean, warm, impressed by the little touches (chocolates and pillow mist) and would recommend it to anyone wanting to explore the slate history of the area!

We have just got home from a wonderful week away at the cottage for New Year’s. The cottage is clean, welcoming, and perfectly equipped with lots of extra little goodies, (for both the humans and dogs)! Covid-19 precautionary measures are also in place to ensure a comfortable and safe stay which was appreciated also. Location is perfect - lots of beautiful walks, views, drives and activities on the doorstep. The log burner fire and comfy bed was a real highlight at the end of our busy days. Thank you Angie and Rich for a fantastic stay - We hope to return in the future. Happy new year :)

We had a well needed relaxing stay in this perfect little cottage. The host made us feel really welcome and it had everything we could have needed and more, including treats and blankets for our dog. There are some stunning walks on the doorstep and the beach is a short drive away. Mount Snowdon is also nearby and well worth getting up early to climb. We’d definitely love to stay again!

I originally booked the cottage for November 2020 as a convenient base for Snowdonia and Go Below Underground Adventures (can't recommend this company enough). I had to move my booking to March 2021 and then to June due to Covid restrictions. The host was great at moving my booking each time, so I was delighted to finally be able to come across the border. The cottage is spotlessly clean, and extremely well equipped. Beds are very comfortable and the shower is lovely and powerful (perfect after a day hiking!) All the extras are there to make the cottage Covid safe, but without being too "in your face". The back garden is a complete sun trap if you manage to get lucky with the weather too. Just up the road is the Lakeside Cafe, serving breakfasts and lunches at great prices. It's a real hub of locals, bikers and hikers. It's also a good starting point for lots of local walks (including one around the reservoir). A perfect cottage to escape for a while, and get out into the lovely Welsh countryside. Thank you for a wonderful week, such a shame I couldn't stay longer. Hope to return one day.

This rural cottage was the perfect get-away for the two of us plus the dog! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a clean and tidy place to stay where all the little details had been thought of. The hand sanitiser outside the front door, take out sanitiser and wipes, dog blankets, poo bags and treats. Wine, orange juice, milk in the fridge and biscuits. Toiletries and chocolates on the bed! The location was great for accessing the hills, the beaches and some interesting dog friendly tourist attractions such as the National Slate Museum and the West Highland Railway. Yes, the Lakeside Cafe has evicted dogs to expand their Covid free space inside but they did a mean take away breakfast to eat back at the cottage! Only drawbacks that I can think of that may be out of the control of the owners are the parking (looks like a neighbour may be hoarding vehicles) and the green space by the parking where dogs mess was a nightmare! Would recommend this place to friends though and may even book again for ourselves!

Just returned from a week at this delightful little cottage. The first impression of the house was that it was very clean and smelt lovely and the welcome pack was brill - a bottle of wine, milk, carton of fresh orange, 2 boxes of biscuits, 2 hand sanitizers, pillow spray and chocolates, treats for the dog, poo bags and dog blankets, Angie & Rich have thought of everything, even down to the hand gel installed on the wall just as you go into the house! :) The cottage is small but very well equipped and there was always parking at the front. Whilst there, we visited Harlech Beach (which is dog friendly), Beddgelert, Betws y coed, Porthmadog and a few other places. We were hoping to revisit Portmeirion as we hadn't been since the kids were little, but unfortunately they don't accept dogs:( so we weren't able to go. We also did some lovely walks straight from the house, the reservoir walk and also the waterfall and ruins walk. We were hoping to go to the nearby cafe for breakfast on our last day as the reviews were really good, but again, they didn't accept dogs, which we thought was a little odd for a country cafe. We did struggle a bit with where to go and would have appreciated some information leaflets, but I am guessing that due to Covid, these had been removed from the house, so this probably couldn't be helped. All in all, we had a lovely time (despite the typical British weather).

Covid Friendly cottage, with hand gel inside and outside cottage, spotlessly clean, free slippers, sky tv, free wifi (and decent wifi at that), washer/dryer with tablets provided, micorwave, oven, fidge/freezer with free wine/milk/biscuits, 2 sofas, good recycling scheme, double bed comfy and pillows even comfier, single bed was comfy, bathroom spotlessly clean, free parking space, everything you needed was there to be honest, Mcolls, spar and a Co-op a 3 min drive away along with a cafe, and also and ideal location to visit Porthmadog, Harlech, Beddgelert, Criccieth etc all within roughly 30 mins drive, so all positive no real negatives to be honest - if i had to pick one i would say personally it was very warm in the cottage but luckily i brought my own desk fan so that cooled me down of a night time

We had a wonderful stay here for five nights in August. We wanted to extend our stay but there were guests arriving so we couldn't. Needless to say, we will definitely be back! There were so many thoughtful touches ands gifts on arrival, from a bottle of wine to treats for our dogs. Plus the cottage was spotlessly clean and smelt amazing... it was so lovely to arrive and really feel spoilt! There are so many incredible walks right from your doorstep, however the Snowdonia Slate Trail was a highlight.

Comfortable, cosy cottage perfect for us, a couple with a dog. The cottage had everything we needed and more with lots of welcoming extras like wine, chocolates and treats for the dog. We were the first visitors after the coronavurus lockdown and felt very reassured by all of the precautions taken by the owners who sent us their very comprehensive risk assessment in advance. The location is great if you like fabulous walks right on the doorstep and close to many fabulous beaches and the beautiful Llyn Peninsula.

The location is great, lovely scenery! Pet friendly cottage which is well quipped and has a genuinely authentic and cosy feel.
