We rented the condo for three nights in December. The condo is hard to find, the owner gave us the address but the address itself is confusing as it leads to a road about 200 feet away from the road where the actual condo is located. The condo is located is near Occidental Costa Cancún hotel and tucked away at the end of the road and end of the hotel parking lot. When we arrived at the security gate, we mentioned the name of the owner - Alajandro and asked if he had left the key for us. The guard said there are many Alajandors, so could not give the key unless he knew who the owner was. He called the owner and finally we got the key. The condo is located on the their floor, there is no elevator - so you have to haul the bags via the stairs. Once we got inside the condo, we were surprised that it looked nothing like what was pictured, the pictures seem of some other place. It does have a beautiful view of the ocean. It is a small condo and could be made into really nice place if the owner took the time and effort to fix the place and invested in repairs.
Here are the problems, cement either cracking or chipped exposing supporting steel. Cable wires hanging in the bedroom, wire from air conditioner was hanging - not sure if this wire was live. Kitchen sink was dirty and had just one dirty saucepan. The television did not work. I asked the owner if the wireless router was in the condo (i would not find it) since i wanted to connect my wired laptop, he said he would ask security and get back to me but never did. We ran out of half filled 5 gal bottle of water the next day. Since the owner was not very responsive, we just bought our own water. There is some broken furniture in the closet, don't know why it is there.
My suggestion to owner is if you are charging good money for the condo then make it worth that money by fixing the place.
