We enjoyed our stay at the Plantaion House. The hosts were very prompt to respond to any question asked. The house creates a nice little community with the other guests. It's located in a perfect location. Minutes from the beach, minutes from the 5th ave strip, minutes from Great Restaurants.

I arrived and Dan was waiting for me to make sure I got in alright. I really liked the room and outdoor shower (had inside as well) and the location was perfect to 5th St. and that all that the town had to offer. quiet side street and far enough away from the bars to not be kept up at night. A little off the ocean but still within view and sound of the waves. Thanks Dan for your attention to all my requests and the cab back was less than other postings and was 20 mins early. I will recommend to my friends who don't need a giant lobby ,pool or large number of guests. very quiet and clean as a whistle. I also donated my shirt to MX. that blew off the drying line and into the vacant lot next door...Lol Best D L Chicago

We loved the view from the bedroom terrace. This place is charming and has everything you could need. It's centrally located, near beach and 5th avenue for dining or shopping. The lift was useful for carrying luggage and water jugs upstairs. Joe was always easy to reach and helpful whenever we had a problem. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

Joe continues to impress with his rental properties at Plantation House, meticulously cleaned, fully stocked, calm and quiet environment and Joe was always available with just a phone call for any concerns. Strongly recommend and can't wait to get back down.

Waking up to the view from my bed in the penthouse suite was... exactly what I needed. The large balcony, the view and outdoor shower are the icing on the cake. I’ve stayed many times at The Plantation House and stayed in several of the suites... it is such a gem. The details. The decor. The courtyard. It’s very central, to everything .... location, location. I enjoy Playa... but I enjoy walking through those courtyard doors, closing them behind me and relaxing in this oasis that is The Plantation House.

Great stay at plantation house. We booked the st Barth suite which was roomy enough for us and our two daughters. Great sea views and central location. And Joe and Francoise have been amazing with the logistics. We’d love to go back.

My wife and I stayed in the St. Lucia suite which is one bedroom plus a large covered veranda with ocean view. We like to cook some of our own meals and the kitchen was fairly well equipped for stove-top cooking. The local Mega super market is nearby and also a Walmart but we found everything we wanted at Mega. The location is also central to restaurants of all price ranges, shopping and walking. The owner was on-site frequently and attentive to our needs. The housekeeper spent at least an hour tidying up twice during our stay. Overall, a good value and we would probably stay here again if in Playa.

The name Plantation House suits this building exactly: colonial looking, quaint, eclectic and charming. We rented the 1-bedroom called St. Lucia, which was on the top (3rd) floor. Comfortable bed, good amenities, very clean. The deck off the bedroom upstairs was a big plus: two deck chairs overlooking the ocean in the not-too-far distance, exactly as shown in the photo. We rented three different condos during our stay in Mexico this trip, and my husband and I agree that we liked this place best: location and view was great. We could easily walk to the Tukan Beach in minutes (our preferred beach), la Quinta Avenue was only a couple of blocks away, restaurants and stores nearby, and the street itself was pretty quiet overall. There is likely loud music at night no matter where you go in Playa if you’re near La Quinta; but it wasn’t troublesome at this spot. Owner Joe’s instructions / access to the keys was perfect; Joe himself was on the property a few times doing this and that (nice to see the owners present). We would stay here again.

Plantation House – Very pretty, a Caribbean-style place with a very cold, plunge pool (thank goodness as it was hot!) in the central courtyard. We stayed in “St. Bart’s” on the 3rd floor of the rear bldg. This is 3 flights up to a small living/dining combo, 1 bath with shower & small kitchenette. We did not cook but reheated leftovers, stored ice, a few refrigerated items, chilled beverages, & snacks. There is a short, wooden, spiral staircase up to the bedroom with a patio with ocean view, outdoor shower, and outdoor half-bath. No privacy concerns for using the facilities at night. Plenty of room for a couple. Surroundings & decor reminded us of staying on a boat. There was also a washer and a line for drying on the third-floor patio. Despite being very humid, items did dry overnight. We didn’t use these, but there are also chairs & umbrella if you want to go to the beach where there is not a beach club. We would absolutely stay again! Tip – It may not be known by it’s name, so tell the taxi drivers “1st between 14th & 16th.” Generally quiet despite it’s central location, with the exception of club noise late night ‘til quite late/early, depending on your viewpoint.

Die Wohnung hat unsere Erwartungen komplett übertroffen. Sie ist super gemütlich und mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Es gibt einen Bereich im 2. Geschoss, mit großem Esstisch, daneben eine Couch mit Wohnzimmer Tisch, Kommode mit großem Fernseher und eine kleine Küchenzeile, inklusive hochwertiger Elektro-Geräte. Im Stockwerk darüber ist der Schlafbereich, mit einem sehr bequemen Doppelbett, von dem aus man den Sonnenaufgang über dem Meer beobachten kann. Direkt angeschlossen eine Sonnenterasse mit eben diesem genialen Blick, eine zweite Toilette und eine Dusche, von der aus man auch auf das Meer schauen kann. Der Pool im Innenhof ist super erfrischend und eine schöne Abwechslung zum Strand, der sehr nah gelegen (3 Minuten zu Fuß) entfernt ist. Die Lage ist top, man ist mitten in Playa del Carmen, hat unzählige Restaurants in laufbarer Nähe. Wir (beide 27 Jahre, Pärchen) haben hier 10 wunderschöne und erholsame Tage verbracht und empfehlen die Wohnung auf jeden Fall weiter. Joe ist ein super sympathischer Vermieter, der jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite steht. Es hat alles so unkompliziert und perfekt funktioniert (inklusive dem Shuttle vom Flughafen zur Unterkunft), dass wir uns gefragt haben, ob wir wirklich in Mexiko sind ;) Danke für die schöne Zeit!
