Can't Recommend Highly Enough
We have just finished an extended stay at Little Foxdale and everything has been exceptional. The property itself is really comfortable and well equipped. There is a good sized lounge and kitchen area and two spacious bedrooms. A garden to sit in and everything you need inside. The flat is very quiet and wifi is excellent. The location is ideal being a couple of minutes from the centre of Alresford with all it's shopping and social opportunities. It is a 20 minute drive to Winchester or you can take the bus which stops outside the door. Plenty of walks on your doorstep.
Carole and Ian are delightful and unobtrusive hosts. All in all one of the best holiday lets we have ever used!

Fantastic property and location
We had the most incredible visit, we stayed for the superbikes weekend at Thruxton. The property is stunning it’s well presented, furnished the beds where comfortable and the location is beautiful with a lovely village feel with local pubs and restaurants that have everything you could ever need.
All in all we had a lovely visit and would definitely stay again..

Perfect spot for peaceful getaway!
Little Foxdale is a beautifully equipped & comfortable spot to while away a few days in the sun! Central location gives you easy access to all that Alresford offers & if you're a railway enthusiast right next door to the Watercress Railway & station.
Occasional glimpses of shunting locomotives belching stem & smoke conjuring up evocative memories for us older folk as you sit on the terrace outside your front door!
If you're considering staying nearby to Alresford & using cabs for evening trips to the town, beware!! Although there are 10+ registered in the area almost all of them do NOT work in the evenings!!! No need for such things here!

Wonderful and snug and perfect for friends who want to visit this delightful area
We love Alresford and wanted to share this beautiful little gem of a town with my best friend and her husband for our 50th birthdays. We chose a weekend where we could also do the 'Watercress Belle' dine on a steam train, and Little Foxdale on paper ticked all the boxes - 2 double rooms and close to the station. However , on arrival it surpassed all expectations! Ian and Carole are wonderfully welcoming and the actual cottage is perfect. Snug, beautifully decorated with its situation being spot on for the town and the station. We will definitely be visiting Alresford again and would, without a doubt be staying in Little Foxdale!

Lovely and comfortable, beautifully decorated. Very welcoming Host.
Village is charming with pretty boutique shops. The Long Barn is great for breakfast and coffee and lunch.

Delightful
Visiting family in Alresford over Christmas, we needed a refuge. This property was recommended by those who know the area well and it proved ideal. A gated vehicle entrance less than 100 metres from Alresford High Street gives way to an attractive courtyard bordered by the owners' own bungalow, outbuildings and Little Foxdale, which is a two-double-bedroomed, self-contained extension. Decorated, furnished and equipped with taste and quality to a high standard, it is very comfortable. Carole and Ian make sure guests are welcome.

Just wonderful
What an amazing place. Thank you so much Carol and Ian for going beyond everything expected to make my parents stay perfect. Your place is beautiful and you were both totally fantastic! For us to be able to have our parents come to the village and enjoy Alresford and be so comfortable and well looked after is just wonderful. We cannot start to thank you. Every last detail is stunning. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

High quality accommodation in great location
We had a great stay at Little Foxdale. Ian made us very welcome and took us in even though we'd arrived much earlier than we'd said. The accommodation is very impressive. It was clean, had everything you could want and is very tastefully decorated and furnished.
It is around a 3 minute walk to Alresford High Street. Alresford is lovely with a good selection of coffee shops, pubs and restaurants. We would recommend Pulpo Negro and Caracoli. We would also recommend the evening dinner on the Watercress Line whether you are a steam enthusiast or not. Great fun!

A little cracker
Great property, in the centre of Alresford. We’ve been so disappointed over the years with self catering properties that we had stopped booking them. We decided to give Little Foxdale a go after reading the good reviews and we are glad we did. It’s a cracking little place, well thought out and no expense spared. The only down side to all these good reviews is it’s going to keep getting booked up and might not be available when we want it next 😩
