What a beautiful location and awesome house!! Wow..
Unfortunately I didn't have a proper surf guide (as stated on their promo), so ended up at some spots that definitely weren't the best on the day. There's also no internet or AC at the moment, which is fine, but I was expecting it as it also says it on their advertising. The electricity was also off more than on, so food freshness was a little bit of a worry and the beer was warm when I wanted to have one at sunset. The staff were all super friendly and the cooking was very tasty. I think if I had a proper surf guide and the fridge was colder to keep the food fresh and beer cold I would give 5 stars for sure.

A warm friendly and welcoming homestay
Yantos is a well respected local man who is genuinely warm and friendly and this is reflected in the overall feel of his homestay. Yantos and his staff were happy, and very accommodating a, whether it was the cooks, the guides or the boat drivers. The home is beautifully built - its big enough to accommodate a big group of people, and coupled with breezeways and a few verandahs verandahs it was cool and a nice place to relax and unwind when out of the water. And the beach!! It was cute, stunning, reasonably private and a stones throw from the house so easily accessible. I really loved my stay and the Indonesians I met. Looking forward to returning.

Amazing place, not only a surfcamp. Just feel at home with amazing waves
Best Holidays ever in Yantos Place. First experience in Mentawai, but I'm sure there will be others. The crew is amazing, all people there are helping you feeling home. Food is excellent, surf guides extremely competent will help you find the right wave you're looking for.
Can't wait to go back there, hope we can make it next year

Can’t wait to come back!
Stayed here with my girlfriend for a week and we literally fell in love with the place, the crew and the island!
The vibe and energy the crew creates is unmatched. Top that with some of the most skilled surf guides plus amazing food every day and you can start to imagine how much we enjoyed our time here.
We both simply can’t wait to come back next year!

Surf trip
This is the place to stay, WOW.
Great food, great staff and will take you anywhere you want to go.
Felt like it was my own place.
Miss this place and highly recommend Yantos Place to anyone.

La mejor manera de viajar a Mentawaii.
Viajamos 6 amigos 12 días en la posada de Yanto en junio y disfrutamos de Metawaii de la mejor manera posible a donde todo supero nuestras expectativas.
La posada de Yanto es ideal, una gran cabaña de madera sobre una hermosa playita, buenos lugares de estar y cómodos cuartos, hacen que el dia despues del surf sea excelente. Hay electricidad, Aire Acondicionado en las habitaciones e Internet. La comida (a cargo de su hermana) es bien local y excelente nutritiva y variada.
Tal vez lo mejor de Yantos sea su gente. su guía de surf, Andy es un surfista pro conocedor de todos los picos de la zona, y siempre te lleva a donde hay que ir. 2 paseos por dia en lancha hasta el pico. Con servicio de fotografía profesional.
Recomiendo Yantos al 100%!

THE place to go in mentawai!
The best decision we made was staying at yanto's... our first (but surely more to come) stay in mentawai was incredible.
From the pick up in padang airport where yanto himself and part of the crew where there until the last day, we felt not like guests but like family... every spot we surfed someone knew andi (his nephew, the best local surfer on the island) or yanto. We just trusted him to take us where he thought was appropiate for our surfing skills and was always right. The food cooked by yanto's sister was incredibly tasty and in good portions. The place is very comfortable and clean and like I said, we felt like family members more than guests! UMA MENTAWAI!
Dodi, faycal, usdet, the captain...everyone made the experience more complete.
I recommend yanto's place 101%, we will meet again surely! OMBAK BAGUS!

Great place to stay.
I went for a week to Mentawai and I stayed at Yanto's place, since I arrived to Padang they looked after me. Yanto's crew is very friendly and helpful, the food cooked by Yanto was flavorful and served in very generous portions. The house is very spacious and they always keep it clean. Yanto and his crew took me to Surf in their boat and gave me advices about the breaks, also they are great photographers. Thanks to the staff I felt like at home, they are very friendly and welcoming. I had an awesome holiday, I would love to return.

Spacious and comfortable
Yanto is the first Mentawai person to guide surfers in the Mentawais. A true local with local knowledge. His place is very large. The beds are real and comfortable. Powerful fans and A/C in every bedroom. His captain and crew go out of their way to take care of guests.

GREAT
I had a great time during my stay in Yanto's place. the place was clean, the owner and the crew was helpful and the most important thing is they have the best cook ever.
I also learn how to surf and had a great time watching the surfer playing with the wave.
