Situated within the verdant grounds of Chateau de Salles, there is a real feeling of spaciousness about the place. Outside the main summer season, Chateau de Salles provides a great base for exploring the region. After a day out sightseeing you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings, unwind and maybe even take a dip in the heated pool. This low density parkland development has been designed in sympathy with the local traditional style. The interiors are particularly spacious – much more so than similar capacity holiday homes. The villas with pools were all built within the last ten years and are furnished in a modern and tasteful style with high-quality fittings. The non-pool properties were mostly built within the last 20 years and the quality standards are rigorously maintained by the park management. This lovely, peaceful park is surrounded by mature pine trees, sheltering it from the world outside, with a smattering of trees throughout the park offering some shade. The park is situated at the heart of Aquitaine, surrounded by massive pine forests, close to vast freshwater lakes and within easy reach of the wide sandy beaches along the coast. The attractive seaside resort of Arcachon with its grand, ‘Belle Epoque’ villas and safe, sandy beaches is within 40 minutes’ drive. The nearby village of Salles is a short walk away down the main chateau driveway. The attraction of Chateau de Salles is that suits both those who want to just relax and unwind and also families who want to be active on, or around, the site.
