A 240 year old attached character cottage set within the beautiful village of Montacute. The cottage is in a central location within the historic village of Montacute and walking distance to local amenities such as a post office, two superb dog friendly pubs, petrol station and small co-op supermarket. The famous Montacute House and gardens run by the National trust is only 5 minutes on foot, and there are a further four large national trust properties within a 45 minute drive from the property. The property has three upstairs bedrooms that sleeps up to 6 adults and one infant. Bedroom 1 is a double bed with bedside tables, wardrobe, dressing table, hair dryer and a large chest of drawers. A cot bed is available on request. Bedroom 2 has a chest of drawers and two single beds. Bedroom 3 has a bunk bed, clothes hanger, drawers with a changing table on top and a toilet room attached. All linen is provided in all the rooms, and spares are provided. Due to the coronavirus I am taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces inbetween reservations and I wash all linen on high heat settings. I will also do my best to ensure the property is untouched for a minimum 24 hours between reservations. There is a downstairs bathrooms with shower over bath and a fully equipped kitchen (microwave, oven, gas hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine, all crockery and cooking utensils, kettle, toaster, stick blender, pantry ). On cold days you can snuggle up by the fire in the cosy lounge and watch Netflix on the smart tv provided. We also have games and books to keep you entertained on those rainy days. Wi-fi is included. Telephone signal is weak in the village however you can switch your phone to Wi-fi calling once you arrive to the property. There is a charming elevated garden fully fenced for dogs which includes a summer house and outdoor furniture for those hot summer days in the sun. A BBQ is available to use in the warmer months and an outdoor clothes line with pegs is there to dry your clothes. If it is wet I have an clothes rack and pegs to hang your clothes indoors. Dogs are welcome and a crate and bowls are available. We have an outside hose for washing down muddy paws and boots after a long walk. I understand how hard it can be to predict an exact arrival time when you have children or are stuck in traffic therefore on arrival at the property you can check yourself in via the front door key located in the lockbox to the left of the front door. The code to get the key will be provided before your arrival. There is free parking outside the property along the street. Montacute is a wonderful location if you want to explore Somerset and parts of Dorset. Ham hill country park is walking distance away and there are many footpaths to explore with wonderful views, and a wonderful dog friendly pub (The prince of Wales) which serves wonderful food all year round, and treats for your four legged friends. The famous Jurassic coastline is only a 45 minute drive away. The town of Yeovil is only 15 minutes drive away which has many larger supermarkets, also a great cinema and restaurants too. You can order takeaways to be delivered to the cottage if you do not feel like cooking, or you can walk to The King’s arms pub only 2 minutes by foot down the street. There is a playground for children and a sports field a minute by foot from the house to keep the children and pets happy. My job is to make sure you have the best holiday possible! Más
