We stayed in this cottage for 10 days in August and it was hands down one of the best experiences of the summer! Now that it's so cold and rainy back at home we all find ourselves wishing we could be back at this very peaceful cottage by the water. It was impeccably kept, had everything we needed to live and relax, and really helped us unwind after a very busy year! Absolutely everything our family needed and more, and we only have good things to say about the cottage, the location, and service. :)

Need a place to relax and recuperate, then this is the place to do it. Horseshoe Lake is so beautiful and calming, you can't help but relax. The cottage had everything you could possibly need. Wall to wall windows where you could sit on the couch, read a book and still see the beauty of outside. Pretty amazing at night in a thunderstorm, where the lightening filled the sky. Mornings on the dock enjoying a cup of coffee and there is always a spot of shade or sun when ever you need it. The owners of the cottage were very accommodating and very helpful with any questions we had. There are a lot of stairs to get to the dock, but it made for a morning exercise routine. It was nice to get off the grid for a week. We would definitely recommend this place. Thanks for a great time.

A perfect location to get away from the outside world. A beautiful cottage with all the home amenities which includes a spacious deck which over looks the oak and pine trees. The dock was large and provided both sun and shade throughout the day. A nice canoe was available to explore the vast number of marshes and waterways. We rented a small aluminum boat from the local Marina to enjoy the larger lakes. The Seguin trail was down the road which provided great hiking adventure.

We enjoyed our week long stay at this lovely cottage. The beds were very comfortable; the kitchen was well laid out and stocked with amenities and utensils; the furniture comfortable. The waterfront is beautiful. The grounds and views are lovely. The owner was very easy to work with, flexible and accommodating. Any issues were resolved promptly, as best as possible. They responded quickly to our questions and requests. If the owner was willing to have us, we would rent again from them.

Great cottage with all the amenities of home! Whether preparing a meal in the kitchen or lounging on the couch, we felt at home in this clean and tidy cottage. The Lake was perfect for canoeing, kayaking and swimming . . . and just sitting on the dock and relaxing - sooo amazing! The weather dampened our stay, but we enjoyed playing board games and cards in the cottage. Road/trail to get in was somewhat narrow in parts and the driveway a bit steep to navigate, but we had no issues even after the rain. Would definitely recommend (and have already) to friends and would rent again!

It was a lovely cottage. Beautiful lake-very quiet. The owner were very personable and accommodating. It was well-cared for and beautifully remodelled. It was nice they allowed pets-our dogs felt right at home. Getting down to the dock was a little hard, people with mobility issues may have a problem, may take a bit (70 steps). They do have a lift which if could be used may be of help to people with problems and elderly. We will definitely come back!

This cottage has everything you would expect in a vacation getaway: breathtaking views, a relaxing, quiet atmosphere, a lake for swimming, privacy, an abundance of chairs to take in the view, and loads of charm. Every last detail is taken care of by the owner, including a welcome package with details about the amenities in the area, a courtesy package in case you forgot any toiletry items, and thorough instructions for how to get the most out of your stay. The cottage was sparkling clean when we arrived. It has a fully stocked kitchen with all needed utensils (and beyond), cooking pots, pans, graters, plates, bowls, peelers etc. All of the needed cleaning supplies were provided. The Seguin Trail laneway and cottage driveway is quite steep in parts, so we found having a 4WD vehicle came in handy. Horseshoe Lake at Centre Bay where the cottage is located is tranquil and makes for a lovely swimming experience off of the dock. Experienced swimmers only (or use lifejackets) as it seems quite deep, but all of this is explained in the cottage materials. The staircase to the waterfront provides a pre-swim workout and left us huffing and puffing on the way back up, so only those who are physically able should descend the stairs. This was a fantastic cottage rental experience and we recommend it to someone who wants to get away to a secluded slice of heaven. Heaven truly is a little closer in a home next to water.
